Chapter 212: The Arrogance of Ohara

Under the watchful eyes of numerous scholars, the giant seemed to sense something.

His huge body trembled slightly, and he coughed out several bursts of harsh, foul air, causing the dry beach around him to stir up clouds of dust.

Many of the weaker scholars couldn't help but take a few steps back due to the hurricane-like gusts from the giant's breath, looking in astonishment at this legendary terrifying creature.

This was a giant!

Adrian squinted his eyes slightly and extended his hand to shield little Robin's face from the dust.

"Water... water..."

The giant, who hadn't had a drop to drink for a long time, strained to hold himself up and softly called out for help.

However, to ordinary people, the sound coming from his mouth was as loud as thunder.

"Adrian, is this Vice Admiral Saul from the Navy Headquarters?" Dr. Clover stepped forward and asked in a low voice, "What should we do with him now?"

"Don't worry, Dr. Clover," Adrian looked at Saul, his gaze calm and indifferent, "Strictly speaking, this giant Vice Admiral aligns with Ohara."

Following Adrian's indication, the people of Ohara waited a bit longer.

After Saul fully regained his consciousness, Adrian and the scholars led him to a nearby freshwater stream.

Ignoring the presence of others, Saul lay prone by the stream, supporting himself on the riverbank, almost burying half his head in the stream, gulping down the precious life-giving water.

"This is truly drinking by the ton..."

"Literally gulping down tons of water!"

Adrian's eyes showed a hint of amusement.

"I wonder what ability I would get if I took down Saul at this moment… never mind, just a thought."

After drinking his fill, Saul suddenly lifted his head from the stream, the water droplets he shook off almost causing a localized rainstorm in the area.

Saul exclaimed loudly, "That was refreshing! I feel like I've been given a second chance at life."

With a loud crash Saul sat down heavily on the ground, lowered his head, and looked at the group of small figures on the ground.

"Thank you for saving me. I never thought there'd be a town on this island, how lucky. Although, I originally hoped to end up on a deserted island."

"Vice Admiral Saul, your presence brings more misfortune to this island," Adrian said as he entered a ghostly form, his body rapidly growing to almost the same height as the giant, looking directly at the bloodied and wounded Saul.

"I understand what giants represent to ordinary people… once my leg heals a bit, I'll make a raft and leave here myself."

Saul looked up at Adrian, his face showing curiosity and envy.

"Did you eat the 'Size-Sized Fruit'? What an enviable ability, Dereshishishishi…"

This peculiar laughter was quite unpleasant…

And what was with that donkey-like braying at the beginning…

Random thoughts flitted through Adrian's mind, which he quickly dismissed.

"As a former Vice Admiral of the Navy Headquarters, you didn't recognize me, Saul?"

Adrian, now giant-sized, extended his index finger and conjured a white ghost the size of Saul's head.

Seeing this distinctive devil fruit ability, Saul's unique laughter abruptly ceased.

"White Ghost with a bounty of over 600 million Berries!!"

He roared in shock and panic.

"Why are you here? Have I returned to the Grand Line?"

Driven by his former duties as a Vice Admiral, Saul looked at the scholars of Ohara and shouted.

"Run! This guy is a dangerous pirate with a bounty of over 600 million Berries! Even though my right leg is injured, I'll do my best to hold him off!"

"Vice Admiral Saul, it seems you really don't understand the situation at all..."

Adrian returned to his original form and flicked his finger slightly, creating another emotion ghost that passed through the immobilized Saul.

Negative Ghost.

Boom!

The giant fell to his knees as if a mountain had collapsed, his mouth uttering pessimistic and helpless words.

"Sorry for causing so much trouble with my stupid laugh..."

"Ke ke~"

Robin, standing beside Adrian, let out a clear, crisp laugh.

"Brother Adrian, this giant's laugh is so funny!"

Adrian reached out and ruffled Robin's hair.

"Just know that it's funny, but don't imitate it! Your smile is already very cute, so keep smiling like this."

A blush suddenly appeared on little Robin's face. She lowered her head, twisting the hem of her shirt, and said no more.

Not long after.

Saul finally freed himself from the terrifying power of the negative ghost and stood up, his face flushed. Even though his severely injured right leg was trembling, he persisted in looking at Adrian.

"White Ghost, I don't know why you're here, but I won't allow you to harm the innocent residents of this island!"

"Are you saying that my reputation in your Navy Headquarters has deteriorated to this extent? Hurting innocents, massacring civilians, just like other despicable pirates?"

Adrian looked at Saul in confusion.

"How could even a important Vice Admiral like you not know? Or have you just never paid attention?"

"I don't know what you're talking about!"

"Then let's cut to the chase, Saul," Adrian said calmly, "Ohara is not suitable for you. Once your injuries heal, leave here and return to Elbaf."

"Ohara?!!"

Saul exclaimed, breaking into a cold sweat the size of stones on his forehead.

He looked at the other scholars, "Is this the island of Ohara in the West Blue?"

"Yes! This is the Island of All Knowledge—Ohara!"

Dr. Clover stepped forward without hesitation.

"Vice Admiral Saul, I am Dr. Clover, the curator of the Tree of Knowledge library and an archaeologist!"

"And Adrian is not the notorious, ruthless pirate you think he is!"

"I have landed on Ohara Island." Saul shouted again, looking at Dr. Clover.

"Dr. Clover, I'm sorry, but this is not the time to waste."

"If this really is Ohara in the West Blue, what I'm about to say may frighten you, but you must listen carefully."

"Naval and World Government ships should be heading towards Ohara right now, intending to wipe out the scholars on this island!"

Dr. Clover lowered his head into silence, and many scholars reacted the same way.

Just as Saul was about to urge the scholars to leave quickly, Dr. Clover raised his head, his eyes complicated, and he seemed to age ten years in an instant.

He sighed deeply, "So it really is a Buster Call!"

Saul was shocked, "How do you know?"

The blush on little Robin's face disappeared, and she looked incredulously at Saul and Dr. Clover.

Being intelligent, she had long understood what a Buster Call was from history books, and her expression turned anxious.

Dr. Clover looked at Adrian, "Adrian, does the World Government truly not tolerate us scholars studying that lost history?"

Adrian sighed on the inside and spoke calmly. His harsh words making the archaeologist look at one another in confusion, panic and fear.

"The World Government doesn't tolerate Ohara studying history, but they especially can't tolerate a group of powerless, but passionate archaeologist studying history."

"To try and touch historical taboos beyond one's own capacity as powerless person, that's Ohara's mistake and the arrogance of knowledge."
