Chapter 229: The Razor Gang

At midday, the port of Otefi Island was exceptionally lively.

Numerous ships, both large and small, docked along the pier, all associated with the various factions of the West Blue that had connections with the Razor Gang.

Adrian knew well that he was currently the most wanted man in the West Blue. The World Government and the Navy would never stop searching for his whereabouts.

To avoid unnecessary trouble, Adrian had already ordered Rumi to dock the Abyss in the castle as soon as they glimpsed the shoreline of Otefi Island.

Then, Adrian used his Transparent Ghost ability, Silent ghost, and disembarked alone.

At the port of Otefi Island, the crowd was bustling and lively.

Passing through the port and going deeper into the island, he saw a group of Razor Gang members or cadres engaged in bizarre exercises.

These gang members had peculiar habits, often holding a wooden board a few inches thick in their left hand and furiously jabbing it with their right hand, which was in the form of a pointed finger.

It seemed they wanted to pierce through the board with their fingers!

Accompanying the dull "thud, thud" sounds were their unique vocalizations.

"Bean Pushing Hand!"

"Day one of finger-piercing the board!"

"The first batch of trainees from Kato Training Class reporting!"

These strange-talking individuals were players within the Razor Gang, with overlapping white IDs above their heads, almost blinding to the eyes.

The move they were practicing was "Eagle's Finger," a reward from completing the fourth stage of the quest.

It was clear that within just a few days, these players had figured out the actual use of "Eagle Finger" and were diligently practicing it.

Even though he was in a transparent ghost state and ordinary people couldn't detect his presence, let alone these level 20 players, Adrian instinctively pressed his hat brim down, pretending not to see these self-taught "righteous" types.

The next moment, he quickened his pace towards the main building of the Razor Gang and soon arrived outside the top-floor office of Tommy Shelby.

Knock, knock.

Adrian materialized, gently knocked on the office door, and asked, "Tommy, do you have a moment?"

Tommy had become accustomed to Adrian's sudden appearances by now.

He rose from behind his desk, nodding respectfully, "Sir! Good day!"

"Good day, Tommy."

Adrian entered the office, closed the door behind him, and sat on the guest sofa.

"Sir, I read the recent news about Ohara in the papers," Tommy said, sitting on the other side and pouring tea. "I was wondering..."

Sensing Tommy's concern, Adrian reassured him, "Don't worry, Tommy. Both Lady Penelope and Little Perona are safe and sound."

"That's good to hear!"

Tommy breathed a sigh of relief. Though not particularly close to Lady Penelope, they were distant relatives, and she had recommended him to Adrian, earning his gratitude for making his future.

Knowing that Lady Penelope had been residing in Ohara, which was recently obliterated by the World Government's Buster Call, Tommy couldn't help but worry about her safety.

Seeing this, Adrian reminded, "But I hope you understand that Lady Penelope and little Perona's current situation isn't suitable for any association with the Razor Gang."

Tommy responded, "Of course! One of the Razor Gang's principles is 'No involvement with Women and Children.'"

Adrian nodded and got to the point.

"Tommy, have you had any recent communication with the Donquixote Family of the North Blue?"

"Yes!"

Tommy perked up, ready to report.

To be honest, White Ghost was the best superior Tommy had ever met, bar none. He delegated almost all authority to him and rarely intervened, only occasionally issuing easy-to-fulfill orders or requests.

This laissez-faire approach, while touching, also left Tommy feeling a bit uncertain. After all, a boss who constantly delegated and never seemed to care about your performance could be somewhat disconcerting.

"Good, keep in touch," Adrian said, unintentionally cutting Tommy off. "I need you to personally 'escort' a group of people to the North Blue."

Suppressing his frustration, Tommy respectfully replied, "Understood."

Adrian looked at the taciturn Tommy, nodding inwardly.

To be honest, Adrian was quite satisfied with this gang leader. The West Blue was rife with gangs, and the existence or absence of the Razor Gang made little difference. As long as the proper 'rules' were established, the underground gangs could be as effective as the official navy branches!

At least, Adrian felt that the Razor Gang's actions and reputation among the common people met his expectations.

After a moment's thought, Adrian continued, "I'll write a letter explaining the situation. When you go to North Blue's Sreed Island, deliver this letter to Donquixote Doflamingo."

Tommy nodded, "Understood."

As for reminding Adrian that the Donquixote Family's headquarters had moved…

{I think this is necessary!}

Tommy deemed it unnecessary.

Adrian then asked, "Those 'immortal drifters,' have they caused any trouble?"

"No," Tommy recalled. "A few days ago, they all turned into white light and reappeared on the island. I knew their mission was completed since the Razor Gang often uses them that way."

Adrian found it amusing. Players with undeveloped strength were akin to expendable gang fodder, a notion that seemed spot on.

Tommy added, "Some of them were shouting things like 'Profit' and 'Worth it for a lifetime,' which I couldn't understand."

"Probably some unique form of communication among the immortal drifters," Adrian said vaguely, remembering a doctor he encountered on Drum Island. "By the way, do you remember the doctor named, 'Moy' in the Razor Gang?"

"Do you mean the doctor from Drum Kingdom on the Grand Line?" Tommy asked.

Adrian nodded slightly. It seemed the bandaged doctor who experienced a significant life change had indeed joined the Razor Gang.

Tommy offered, "Do you need me to bring Dr. Moy?"

Adrian nodded, "Yes, I have something that requires his help."
