Rhett stepped out of the bathroom and noticed the room was dark. He walked further into the room and stopped when he was in front of the bed. He wanted to make sure his little bird did as he said. On getting there, he found the bed empty; there was not a single sign of Genevieve sleeping on the bed. He looked around the room for any sign of her, but he couldn't see anyone. It was like Genevieve had suddenly disappeared from the room. He walked towards the wall, and with the help of the moonlight coming from the balcony, he could see the light switch. He switched the lights on as his eyes roamed around the room, and then they darkened when he saw whom he was looking for.
