The family was sitting in the living room and even the maid walking about could feel how tense the place was.

"So Genevieve, heard you were cast out of the family. May I know why?" Richard asked ignoring the glare he was getting from his son.

Genevieve shifted uncomfortably,

"It's none of your business father." Rhett butted in before Genevieve could say anything.

Richard looked at his son disapprovingly,

"And Genevieve did Rhett here tell you why he wouldn't introduce you to the family?" He asked again.

Rhett glared at his father and if eyes were to kill, his father would have been six feet down by now.

He didn't like this, this was one of the reasons why he did not what her to meet them.

And he was sure Genevieve would be so curious to know his answer.
