Back Home

Back on Blue Earth, Caleb Li emerged from the void inside his room, his head slightly dizzy.

He had to inhale and exhale for a couple of seconds before the dizziness slowly disappeared.

He looked at his room and found everything intact as he had left it.

Then, he checked his body and realized it was still brimming with power.

When he went to the Ancient realm, he was only a weak ordinary mortal. But now, he was a martial artist.

He quickly changed from his undersized clothes and put on shorts and a black round-neck top.

Stepping out of his room into the sitting area, he didn't find his little sister nor Grandma Shu.

Unworried, he left the house to look for them since he couldn't wait to share the news with them.

However, after coming out of the house, he didn't find any traces of Lihua and Grandma Shu.

'What is going on?'

According to the memory of the previous owner of the body, both Grandma Shu and Lihua didn't have friends, and most times, they stayed at home.

Only on rare occasions where they needed to scavenged for useful junk would they venture deep into the junkyard.

And today was not such a day. With all this in place, even a fool could realize something was wrong.

Quickly, he increased his pace and began to frantically search for them.

Coming to the major in the dreg, he saw some people and rushed to ask them.

"Please, do you know where my Grandma and little sister are?"

The group of skinny men raised their heads and looked at who disturbed them. When they found out who it was, they frowned.

"Get lost!" One of them shouted.

Caleb Li had been someone who didn't associate with those living in the dreg, trying to show he was superior to them, thus invoking their anger.

But since he attended the school in the outer city and was a bit strong, everyone kept their annoyance in mind.

But now, such a pretentious bastard was seeking their help. Who was going to help him?

The skinny men glared at him and were ready to pounce on him if he didn't leave in that instance.

As for Caleb Li, his expression didn't change, and he asked once again. "Please, if you know their whereabouts, I will deeply appreciate it."

"Don't you hear, f*** off!" Another person shouted, but his shout was accompanied by a punch.

The five young men didn't believe he could take them all down without losing a thing or two.

This made them fearless against him. But soon, they realized their greatest mistake.

Caleb Li didn't flinch. He caught the punch easily as if it was nothing.

The group was surprised, but before they recovered from shock, he twisted the arm, and the sound of bones breaking into pieces echoed in their ears.

And what followed was the miserable scream of the skinny young man.

Bang!

With a kick to the chest, Caleb Li sent him flying. He turned to the frozen four men and asked, "Do you know where they are?"

The four men shivered, beads of sweat dripped from their foreheads.

Their legs turned jelly, and their hearts pounded heavily against their chests.

All the previous thoughts of venting their anger on this pretentious bastard disappeared from their minds.

To them, Caleb Li had turned into a different person with a savage expression.

The only thought in their minds right now was to escape from this savage beast.

"E-er..." One of the men stuttered; he tried to speak, but words failed to come out of his mouth.

"What!" He snapped.

"They were taken by the gang a couple of minutes earlier," another man responded quickly as if his life depended on it.

"Thank you."

With that, he turned and raced toward the only gang in the dreg.

The Vulture gang was a ruthless gang that enslaved those in the dreg. Every month, they would collect protection fees from everyone, and those who failed to pay were beaten to death.

Many had tried to report their inhumane actions to the guards, but nothing was done to them. But the fate of those who reported them was never a good one.

They mysteriously disappeared from their homes and, when found, it was in the middle of the junk butcher with their heads severed.

Since then, no one dared to have the thought of going against the Vulture Gang.

Apart from their ruthless behavior, they dealt with all kinds of shady business.

Things that were impossible to get could be found on their black market.

As long as you had money, you could virtually get everything from them. Therefore, they benefited the dreg in this aspect.

However, all this had nothing to do with Caleb Li. His only thought was nothing must happen to his two only family.

According to the time difference, one day in the ancient realm was equal to one hour in their world.

He only spent 13 days in the Ancient realm, which was 13 hours in their world. Why would the Vulture Gang come for them in less than 15 hours of his departure?

With all these thoughts running through his mind, he arrived at an alley owned by Vulture Gang.

The alley was somewhat decent and clean compared to other streets in the dregs. The nauseating smell of the junkyard was far lesser, and the air was a bit clean.

Walking through the alley, the Vulture Gang members walked back and forth, only giving him a glance before they ignored him.

As for him, he wasn't bothered by them and entered the main building of the Vulture Gang, a 3-story building.

"Have you come for your family?" A deep voice asked.
