The Third Elder glared at Elder Ran and said in a low, solemn voice, "Did you know he is such a monster?"

With a bittersweet smile on his face, Elder Ran responded, "I didn't know... My disciple staying in the desolate land only said he's a once-in-a-thousand-year genius."

"Really?" She creased her brow, not believing him for a bit.

"Ahem... that might not be the main reason. I heard he went to the Ancestral Land and came back with a totem."

"What!" She gasped and looked at Elder Ran, not believing what she just heard.

Recovering from her shock, she asked in a solemn tone, "Are you serious?"

"Why would I lie about such an important matter?"

The Third Elder was too stunned to speak and turned to look at the calm Caleb Li, who was drinking his wine leisurely.
