Wild, violent flames engulfed the eagle as it let out a loud screeching noise that shook the entire mountainside.
The fire died down quickly as fresh blood dripped and burnt feathers fell from the eagle.
"Pfffft," the white-haired woman spat out blood. The bond between a partner beast and their master is so strong that they both share thoughts and pains. She suffered a backlash from the fight between her partner beast and the red chicken.
She immediately summoned it back into her sea of consciousness for it to recuperate.
"You are being unreasonable; I am not a pervert, and I was not spying on you. You need to stop this, or your internal injuries will worsen," Long Chen said as he dodged the incoming blade.
"Do you need help here?" Flux Fire asked as he flew towards Long Chen.
"There won't be any need for that; I've got it all handled here," Long Chen said. It's hard finding someone to spar with, even though she is not in her best condition. Fighting her is equivalent to practicing and harnessing the power of his sword technique.
"How dare you look down on me; I will make you pay for it," the white-haired woman said.
"Blooming petal dance," she said as she moved in a rhythmic dance, waving her sword in all directions.
A mesmerizing red illusory flower bloomed above her head as falling petals rained down.
"We are one," Long Chen said as he also prepared. He knew this should be her strongest move, and he is prepared to take it head-on.
Above his head, a silver-gold illusory dragon appeared with a domineering aura.
Almost at the same time, they both blasted their strongest moves at the same time, creating waves of energy that spread out in all directions.
They both panted heavily as exhaustion took over.
"We have found her," a male voice from the distance was heard, followed by loud footsteps coming towards their direction. It's clear that their fight has attracted the attention of unwanted visitors.
"Dammit," she cursed silently as she immediately brought out a handful of spirit stones, absorbing their contained energy while keeping watch of Long Chen's movements.
"What's going on?" Long Chen asked; Flux Fire shrugged his shoulders.
"We should leave before things get out of hand," Long Chen suggested as he prepared to leave the scene.
"How long do you think you can run from us? You have nowhere else to run to now. Surrender the thing and agree to become our boss's woman. That's the only option to save yourself," a male voice was heard from a distance.
Soon, the whole escape route was blocked by men who surrounded them. There were fifty of them, dressed in black robes. They all had a tattoo of a dragon on their shoulders.
"What do we have here? You rejected our boss's offer to make up with a little bastard," a middle-aged man who looked like the leader said, pointing his broadsword at Long Chen. His ugly face had an intimidating scar, which made him look hideous.
"Stop spouting nonsense," the white-haired woman said as she stood up, her sword firmly gripped in her right hand.
"I will give you one last chance, surrender, or you will become the plaything for all of us. You will have to satisfy all of us," the middle-aged man said as he looked at her with a devouring gaze.
"I would rather die," she said, taking the initiative to strike first. She attacked the man closest to her with a fiery wave.
"Take them down," the middle-aged man ordered.
As the middle-aged man gave the order to attack, the group of hostile men lunged forward, their weapons gleaming in the sunlight. The white-haired woman's fiery attack struck the nearest foe, creating a burst of flames that temporarily blinded her assailant, causing him to stagger back in pain.
Long Chen knew he would never be spared, so instead of trying to run away, he decided to fight his way out for an opening.
Long Chen, in perfect synchronization with his partner beast Flux Fire, leleaptnto action as well. His silver-gold illusory dragon roared to life, its domineering aura crackling with energy. Long Chen's movements were precise and swift as he countered the attackers, each strike of his technique a calculated move to keep them at bay.
The battle raged on, a chaotic dance of blades and flames. The white-haired woman's swordplay was a beautiful and deadly spectacle. She moved with grace and precision, leaving a trail of fiery petals in her wake, incapacitating her opponents with each strike. Her determination to protect herself was unwavering.
Flux Fire fired tiny Eternal flames at enemies who tried to get close to Long Chen. Even though they were just little, they inflicted agonizing pain on the enemies.
The combination of Long Chen's martial prowess and the white-haired woman's fiery swordsmanship made them a formidable team.
Seeing that fighting them alone was a tedious effort, they all summoned their partner beasts. The whole area was covered by the colourful beautiful sight of different beasts of different elements.
To anyone, it was a beautiful sight, but to Long Chen and his team, it was a dreadful sight as their chance of escaping became slimmer.
Despite their valiant efforts, the odds were still against them. The encircling foes were numerous, and they seemed determined to overwhelm the duo. Beads of sweat formed on Long Chen's brow as he fought to maintain his concentration. The white-haired woman, too, showed signs of exhaustion as the battle wore on.
"Do it now," Long Chen said to Flux Fire, still fighting a one-eyed man with the water element.
"Are you sure?" Flux Fire asked to be sure he did not mishear.
"I should be able to handle it for some minutes," Long Chen said.
"Okay," Flux Fire said as a blinding light erupted from him. This caused everyone to stop their battle and look at the mesmerising red light.
