Ascension Mountain Folk

The evening breeze was quite cold, bringing calm and comfort to the thousands of people in the encampment. The Helferich banner —Red in color and bearing a white eagle— fluttered on each tent, creating the impression of a region full of red.

The soldiers unwind by talking together around the campfire, and some choose to sleep and sharpen their spearheads or sword blades. Norman and Geoffrey were enjoying the moment with Helferich's soldiers, right along with Leonil and the other captains.

Quentin himself was near the shore of Watercier Lake. Quentin's eyes saw the weathered wood of the horse-drawn carriage used for the war in the past. The man suspected that the used items were from the time of the Watercier Lake War.

He sat unaccompanied by anyone, alone staring at the luminous surface of the lake. There were certain reasons why the lake was glowing like that, and one of the biggest causes was the moonlight shining brightly that night —The full moon period.
