Demonization

Behind them, intense fighting sounds echoed, accompanied by occasional sounds of bones breaking.

Clark pulling Isabella away from Alex's warning was like a bomb, causing Isabella to tremble, almost falling to the ground. She couldn't believe that the Anthony she had called was now transformed into a creature that was neither human nor zombie.

Clark was in a slightly better situation. When he saw the change in the color of Anthony's eyes, he had already guessed something.

Donald, on the other hand, closed his eyes in fear. His body trembled, realizing he was in trouble. Regardless of who wins, he knew he was doomed. If Alex won, he would be turned into a human puppet. If Anthony won, he couldn't escape the fate of being eaten, or worse, turning into a zombie.

At this moment, tears unexpectedly flowed from Donald's eyes. Why did he come here? Regret overwhelmed him!

"It's all because of you!" Anthony screamed madly. "Originally, I could slowly develop my power here, and one day, I might have the chance to become the master of Company Brown or achieve a higher position. But you had to show up, forcing me to give up my most important thing. Then I had no choice but to kill you, kill all of you!"

Before Anthony could finish speaking, Alex launched an attack on him—miniature cannons combined with lasers, a dense assault aimed at taking Anthony's life directly.

"Watch out!" Clark hurried over, pulling Isabella aside. Now was not the time to get involved in their fight.

Boom! After a round of attacks, Alex finally stopped.

The corner where Anthony had been was blasted into darkness by the cannons.

"Not bad!" Alex said smugly. "If the thing they desperately want to obtain from above can be dealt with by just this much power, then I'm truly disappointed!"

As he spoke, a figure rose directly from the blackened ground. It was Anthony. His clothes were torn, his skin had turned into charcoal, yet he hadn't died.

Without hesitation, Anthony rolled over to Donald's side, and his hands plunged directly into Donald's body. The charred body slowly began to regenerate, new tissues and flesh forming.

Donald, with wide eyes, was turned into a lifeless corpse. At the last moment of his life, he stared at Anthony with intense resentment.

After draining Donald's body, Anthony had fully recovered, except for a decaying piece of tissue on his chest that was quite conspicuous, oozing pus continuously, resembling a zombie's body.

"That must be the zombie tissue fused into your body!" Alex stared at the decaying flesh and understood what was going on.

"Now you're neither human nor zombie; let's call it what I've heard before, a living dead. If you're discovered outside, whether by humans or zombies, they'll immediately take the life of such a monster!" Alex said with disdain, using a term Clark had never heard before.

Alex stared at the decaying flesh and quickly understood what was going on.

"Now, you're neither human nor zombie; let's call it what I've heard before, a living dead. If you're discovered outside, whether by humans or zombies, they'll immediately take the life of such a monster!" Alex said with disdain, using a term Clark had never heard before.

Humans would never consider zombies as companions; Clark was well aware of that. But why couldn't zombies accept Anthony? Did zombies also recognize their own kind? Clark couldn't help but wonder as Anthony charged towards Alex.

The two engaged in a fierce battle. The zombified Anthony displayed speed, strength, and brutality, matching Alex in every aspect.

Alex initially didn't take it seriously and wanted to continue using cannons to kill Anthony. However, Anthony's surprising speed, dodging left and right, quickly brought him close. He struck fast and accurately, creating several holes in Alex's body, forcing him to fight back with all his might.

"Quick, let's escape!" Taking advantage of the intense battle between the two, Clark pulled Isabella and ran outside.

No kidding, both of these guys needed to recharge. Whether for Alex or Anthony, Clark and Isabella were like mobile charging stations that they could use anytime. At this moment, they were the most dangerous! To avoid being drained of life like Donald, they had to escape quickly!

Running for their lives, they didn't dare to look back. The two quickly ran out of the tunnel and returned to the surface.

"Quick, seal the entrance; we can't let them come out!" Clark urgently started moving, carrying some rocks to block the entrance.

After completing these tasks, he finally sighed in relief. "Where's the Land Bull?"

Clark asked Isabella.

Isabella was still in a daze, not recovering from the shock she experienced moments ago.

"Don't look now; survival is the priority!" Clark looked at Isabella and didn't say much. It was normal for a pampered young lady to be unable to accept such a sudden change in circumstances.

But now the urgent task was to escape!

Who knows which one of those two will come out alive? The best outcome would be both meeting their demise, but if both of them come out alive, then what!

"The Land Bull should be in the garage," Isabella gritted her teeth, understanding that survival was crucial now.

"Bang!"

Just at that moment, the rocks blocking the tunnel entrance were knocked open.

Someone had come out!

Clark quickly pulled Isabella away, realizing that neither of them would want to risk their lives.

"Ha-ha, a pitiful clown!" It was Alex's voice.

Clark turned around and saw Alex covered in injuries, with certain areas on his body marked by shattered lines, like a fragile pottery piece on the verge of breaking. It was unimaginable what he had been through.

"No need to struggle; you can't escape!" Alex said with a laugh.

Clark knew the truth; Alex could briefly fly in the air, and his speed was something Clark couldn't match, especially when he had to take care of Isabella.

"You killed Anthony, got the data; that's enough!" Clark spoke while contemplating the next move.

Why wasn't Alex attacking him immediately? With this thought, Clark suddenly considered a possibility and took a few steps towards Alex.

Seeing Clark approaching, Alex, who was originally floating in mid-air, unconsciously took a few steps backward.

Just as Clark suspected!

Alex was cautious due to their previous fight, thinking he was still invincible and hesitating to attack directly!

After confirming his speculation, Clark burst into laughter.

"You didn't die at Anthony's hands, but you'll have to die at mine!" Saying this, Clark assumed a posture indicating an impending attack.

Indeed, Alex was frightened by Clark's behavior, taking several steps back but not running away. Although he felt some apprehension, he wasn't easily scared off.
