Familiar Faces

Andromeda knocks softly on the hospital room doorway, her steps cautious, her presence and adorned hospital gown a testament to a shared ordeal. Tonrie turns, his eyes struggling to focus as confusion and relief intermingle.

"Andi? What...what are you doing here?" Tonrie's voice wavers, a mix of astonishment and bewilderment.

"Easy, Tonrie," Andi responds with a softness, a mobile IV drip accompanying her approach. Wincing in exhaustion pain, she sits next to him on a chair, "We were both in a coma for six months. I only woke up three days ago."

The words hang, a heavy revelation in the room. Tonrie grapples with the magnitude, trying to grasp the void of time lost in unconsciousness.

"Six months?" Tonrie's disbelief reverberates through his voice, the reality refusing to fully settle. Andi's explanation, though gentle, is a puzzle he struggles to solve.
