An hour later, Kir, Kordia, and Rainier were all sitting in his room. Kordia and Rainier shared Rain's bed, while Kir sat on his own. He'd put his school jacket back on, but was still shirtless underneath it. And now that the cat was out of the bag, Kordia didn't bother to hide her appreciation, taking peeks at his abs whenever she got the chance.

"So... umm..." Kir began awkwardly.

"I get it. You like Rainier... most of the girls in school do, and more guys than you would think," Kordia interrupted, her lack of confidence completely gone.

"Can we just... take turns or something? I'm sorry, but you interrupted me and I was about to explain..." Kir asserted himself.

"Oh. Sorry... sorry..." Kordia shrank a bit where she was sitting in Rain's lap. It was clear from how her tail wagged that she was excited.

Kir sighed. After an awkward, broody minute it became obvious he was going to have to take the first turn.

"So I, um... I'm attracted to both of you..." Kir said. "I mean, I was attracted to Kordia first since we met at the gate..."

"You met at the gate?" Rain asked, looking down at Kordia.

"He's the hot guy I told you about," she said.

"Oh," Rain looked back up, smiling in that almost-oblivious way.

"Yeah, so, um... after that I sort of... had an altercation... which is why I might not be totally myself right now and... um... It's hard to explain so..." He was dreading this part. "Stella, you can come out now."

""Stella?"" Kordia and Rain said as the same time as Kir's familiar flew in from a corner of the room and transformed right in front of everyone.

"Hey boss!" she greeted.

"Everyone, this is Stella, my familiar..." Kir introduced her. "She's a succubus."

"Fascinating!" Kordia said. "I never knew they could be so small..."

"You're one to talk!" Stella bristled.

Kir grimaced. "The point is!" he asserted as Kordia started to reach for Stella's tail, which had a mind of its own, "I might not have been entirely myself back there... when I... um... kissed Rain..." he blushed.

Rain and Kordia looked at him, and then Stella turned slowly. "What the heaven you talking about, boss?"

"You were controlling my body for the fight... I thought... there might be some residual personality shift or..." Kir's tail wrapped around his leg nervously.

Stella looked unamused. "Yeah, hate to break it to you, boss, but I was outta there way before you got your little urges. I mean, sure, your inhibitions are probably still a little lowered, but you wouldn't have gone all smoochy if there was nothing there. So you're not throwing me in the dragon's mouth on this one."

"But you're a succubus! Isn't this your department?" Kir asked.

"My job is to get people fucking," Stella said, walking backward toward the open window. Kordia covered her mouth at the swear word, and Rain had no discernable reaction.

"This romance business is something mortals cook up to figure out who gets in trouble for sticking it in. And since you forbade me from that... Enjoy your mess, boss!" Stella hopped backward, falling out the window with a cackle.

"Get back here!" Kir shouted, only for nothing to happen.

Perhaps she didn't hear him over the sound of her own laughter. She continued to cackle until the sound faded with distance.

Kir was left feeling awkward and embarrassed.

"So that's your familiar, huh," Rain said. "She seems nice. What's fucking?"

Kordia and Kir both facepalmed at the same time.

Kordia reached up and pulled Rain in close, whispering in his ear. After a moment he also blushed a deep red.

"You two must think I'm a freak..." Kir sighed, looking down at the floor space between them.

He didn't see Rain and Kordia share a look.

Kordia spoke next, "Actually... we were both interested in you... see, we were talking about maybe breaking up before you arrived..."

"What?" Kir asked.

"It sort of goes back to how we met," Kordia continued, gesturing between her and Rainier. "I was having my first heat, and Rain and I just happened to be together for tutoring... and... he helped me out and we just sort of clicked."

"And it's been really great, but we've sorta been curious about other people and talking about it together," Rain added.

Kordia sighed. "We've been an item for a little, but we promised not to be too serious. So when you showed up..."

"We thought maybe we should break up,see if you were interested in one of us," Rain finished.

"Oh... so you like guys?" Kir asked Rain.

"I like everybody!" Rain said with a beatific smile.

"Rain, we're taking turns," Kordia reminded him.

"Oh," Rain said.

Kordia cleared her throat. "So yeah... we still like each other, and we figured if you didn't like one of us we'd just get back together. You only get one shot at the Academy, after all, so why not explore our options?"

Rain seemed about ready to burst with how eager he was. So when Kordia looked up and said "Your turn, sweetie," he was a bit louder than normal.

"I've never kissed another guy before!" he confessed with a smile. "You're really good at it."

Kir blushed.

"You must be really good at it, since you managed to get a succubus familiar. That's like... banned for students and stuff, so she must be powerful, to get into the school" he continued. "Don't worry, I won't tell anyone," he said.

Kir facepalmed again. Great. Now he had to worry about these two getting caught knowing he had a succubus familiar.

"Actually, that's the first real kiss I've ever had," Kir half-muttered. He couldn't remember kissing in his past life. Stella didn't count since it was transactional. And his moms kissing his cheeks certainly didn't count.

"Oh, so you're a natural," Rain said. Kir couldn't tell if it was sincere or a joke. Probably the former. "I'm a natural too... I mean... House of Eros and all... haha..."

Kordia just nodded like he was saying the most natural thing in the world.

But then Rainier said something truly serious.

"I guess now that we all know and stuff... we should probably ask which one of us you want to date." He leaned back a little, and Kordia rolled off his lap to sit next to him on the bed.
