"Huh, where am I? Why am I not in my old apartment? Was the message from worldsspirit@gmail.com true?"
A young man with black hair and incredible blue eyes, as blue as the sky and shiny like the moon, could be seen in a room where two or three people could comfortably sleep at once. He was wearing black and blue pajamas, standing at about 169 cm tall. At that moment, his face was filled with disbelief.
"I can't believe it. I'm really in my novel, the story I wrote!" However, this disbelief turned into excitement, causing even his hair to stand on end. "Calm down, Georges, calm down. Even though it's incredible to be in a world entirely from my imagination, I have to take this seriously," Georges said to himself, considering everything that had happened in the last few days or hours, of which he had no awareness.
"Firstly, I received the message from worldsspirit@gmail.com, asking if I wanted to be reborn in the world of my novel. Immediately after, I replied: 'Hell Yeah!' However, I don't remember anything else besides an infernal darkness and waking up in this room, in this bed."
Observing the room, Georges was surprised. The entire room was filled with a material that might be metal, completely white and black. Lights could be seen in the corners, like chains of light. In the middle of the room, there was a large bed made of the same material.
To the left of the bed, an office, and to the right, a large wardrobe entirely made of mirrors, where Georges could see his reflection.
There was also a strange hanging in the hair; like a flower scent but also not a flower scent. It was indescribable.
"Even though I wrote that the setting of the novel would be technologically more advanced than on planet Earth, I didn't expect it to be this size."
Seeing the fruit of his imagination in real life, Georges felt a flow of euphoria through his body.
"However, before being sure that I am really in the world of my novel, confirmation was necessary," Georges got up from the bed and furrowed his brows, noticing that the pajamas he was wearing were a bit strange, sometimes sticking to his body and other times not, as if it were permanently sucking something from his body while wearing it, but without causing discomfort to the wearer.
Georges went to the office, where he found a white metal sphere in the middle of the table. There was also a small pot with a small blue flower growing, containing five bright and beautiful clovers.
Georges looked at the metal sphere and noticed a small red button in its center. Without questioning what that button did, he pressed it, and immediately a blue hologram appeared, hovering in the air.
In it, Georges could see a search bar; even without someone telling him anything, he already knew what it was about.
"Whoa! How spectacular! I haven't even left my room to face the outside world, but I've already been surprised several times. I can't even imagine what the academy or even the great guilds of this world will be like!" Georges had a face full of anticipation. He could already imagine how exciting his life would be, enough to keep him from getting bored as before.
He pointed his finger and clicked on the search bar, and a holographic keyboard appeared. Georges noticed that the letters were the same as in his previous world, which reassured him.
He then researched the cataclysm and its consequences; everything matched what he had written in his novel.
The world of his novel was introduced to the Arcane Earth; after the cataclysm, the world changed completely, and humans were introduced to Mana. Mana, a consequence of the cataclysm in the Ancient Earth formerly known as Earth, transforming it into the Earth we know today; Arcane Earth.
Mana changed landscapes, tectonic plates shifted continents' locations. However, these weren't the only changes; animals transformed, becoming fiercer, stronger, and more resistant, even bullets having no effect on them.
This forced humans to adapt to the new dangers of Arcane Earth.
As if that weren't enough, new races emerged in Arcane Earth such as elves, dwarves, demons, etc. Elves were calmer compared to the explosive and straightforward dwarves and less dangerous than demons.
The latter wanted to dominate Arcane Earth; they were stronger than humans, had bodies stronger than humans, and their mastery of Mana was unmatched. Thus, humans were forced to adapt once again; they had to master Mana, learn more about it, and understand its effects.
Over time, humans achieved several important feats for their development, and today they are stronger and on par with the other races that appeared later.
Georges also tried to find some famous books from his previous world, but without success; they didn't exist.
This gave him an idea of how to make money in the world of his novel—probably, he wouldn't lack money in this world!
Argh!
Just as Georges was appreciating himself for being a genius in his own mind, an explosion resonated in his head as if short circuits were exploding.
Georges's head throbbed with pain, a persistent pain accompanying the rush of memories that returned in a hurry.
As forgotten moments resurfaced, the bittersweet pain served as a poignant reminder of of his past.
Huff... Huff....
After a brief moment of pain, Georges saw his pain completely disappear, making him sigh deeply.
"So, my name is...."
