Chapter 370 - The End of a Long Journey

Tobias answered the call from Alice's father, Tristan, who wanted to confirm that everyone was safe. After a brief exchange, Tobias handed the phone to Talon.

"Mr. Tristan," Talon greeted him.

There was a brief silence on the other end. 

Tristan was overwhelmed, holding back tears of relief and joy at hearing Talon's voice and knowing his daughter, Alice, was safe. 

He steadied himself before responding.

"Talon… you're really alive."

"Yes, Mr. Tristan. And Alice is safe too," Talon replied.

Hearing this, Alice quickly approached Talon, having overheard Tobias mention her father was on the line.

"Dad! Why are you talking to Talon first?" she said, leaning closer to the phone.

Talon chuckled and handed the phone to her.

"Dad…" Alice said softly, her voice trembling.

For someone usually so composed, her emotions finally spilled over.
