Tobias took a deep breath and began explaining everything he knew about Ryan, things Talon had been unaware of until now.

He described how Ryan's career had skyrocketed during Talon's absence, filling the gap left by Talon's presumed loss. 

But behind the scenes, Ryan was a different person—arrogant and known for bullying those who opposed him. 

Tobias revealed that Ryan wouldn't hesitate to harm others to maintain his position, something that had become an open secret among agencies.

"Ryan also has powerful connections backing him," Tobias added.

Talon frowned. "So, why do you think he suddenly sent me a congratulatory message, Tobias?"

Tobias shook his head. "I'm not sure, but it doesn't feel genuine. I have a bad feeling about this."

"Ryan contacted you?" Helena interjected.

Claire and Emily, who overheard the conversation, looked uneasy as Tobias filled them in on Ryan's reputation.
