More Power, More Better

The worst thing about being a prey species, in my opinion, was having to constantly be battling your instincts.

Don't get me wrong, when you were a wolf or a bear, I was sure that the instincts rode you just as hard, but in a completely different manner.

For me, there was no fight, flight, or freeze. I was just constantly in a state of flight, and that didn't always work out well.

Take now, for example. I woke up in a strange room, lying on the freezing cold, damp floor, with only a single bed in the room. There were no sheets, no toilet, no sink; there was nothing inside of this room with me besides a mattress that I could hear the insects crawling inside of. Even the smells were completely off.

I was in an unknown location for an unknown amount of time, and I had no idea what was going to happen next.

At least if I got hungry, my mouse was more than able to eat the insects that seemed to be multiplying in that mattress.
