"It looks like you are starting to get it," continued Brielle as she scanned her card to open the doors to the hallway that held all of the interrogation rooms.

 

"You know what she is," nodded Lucien, letting out a long sigh.

 

"I know her a lot better than you do," she admitted with a nod as she stopped in front of a room, pinning Lucien in place unless he was willing to touch her to get away.

 

And they both knew that newly mated shifters didn't touch another member of the opposite sex until they were well and truly claimed.

 

She was about to open her mouth again, but Lucien only shook his head. "If she wants me to know, she'll tell me herself. I don't need anything from you."

 

Brielle smirked and opened the door, crowding the wolf until he went into the room to get away from her.
