Uneven Ground

"Travis," I grunted, turning in the general direction of my mate. I knew I wasn't looking at him, but for some reason, it felt like that didn't matter. My mates would know what I needed, right?

And right now, I needed Bane not to be bleeding.

"I got you, Trouble," murmured Travis softly.

"I've got Bane," continued Caleb, placing a hand on my shoulder. "He's fine. A bit of a baby considering he is the big bad wolf of shifter nightmares, but he is fine."

"Listen to your mate, honey, I'm fine. See, already healed," soothed Bane, and I turned around to see that he was healed… but the blood covering him couldn't disappear like his wounds did.

Nodding my head because that was what was expected of me, I waited until Caleb escorted Bane out of the room.
