Chapter 23: Everyone have their own thoughts

A spirit vessel looking like a silver colored boat ridding on a cloud was passing by on the sky of the southern region, it was heading to the SouthPort city. This vessel was the most advanced vehicle in the Thirteen regions and few people have the right and mean to get one, it's speed could rival that of the Great Peng traveling by a region would only take half an hour, relatively speaking it's even faster than using regular teleportation formation that need to be used one after the other, the only mean above it being the Large scale teleportation Formation like in the SouthPort city, obviously that is if you are not in the Celestial realm that got a certain ability to fold the fabric of space, but such a cultivator haven't been seen walking around the continent for several thousands of years now.

As the silver spirit vessel continued on its road seemingly slow but actually very fast, the people inside were enjoying the scenery outside that only being of their realm could contemplate.

"~The son has a big head and small limbs~

~The father has a small head and big limbs~"

Xiao Ling'er was humming a little tune in happiness while swinging her feets in rhythms, she was seated on a luxurious sofa with Hong Xi sleeping on her lap, beside them was a middle aged man with some stubble on his face, he showed a respectful demeanor that would give him the month's best worker prize if not for his shifty eyes that would look around from time to time, he was the newly recruited caretaker for Hong Xi, a pitiful cultivator that didn't have anywhere to go and lived in the Li Clan's mansion after he followed young master Li Yun and miss Sun Jia here, indeed it was the long awaited Jiang Xing! This super agent of the Devil Cult finally managed to escape from the pris.. Li Clan's mansion, it was with tenacity and determination that he overcame the circumstances no matter how dire they were, but even he had to admit that it was a close shave from death. What a Li Clan! As expected of the mortal enemy of the cult! But this Jiang managed to get back from their den, showing his exceptional quality.

He wanted to get back to the cult and give a rapport to his superior about every information he discovered here but he received a secret communication to be on standby since the cult was about to make a big move and they needed him to monitor the Saber God, it was a solemn order from the Cult leader so he took it seriously, he muttered while looking outside the windows despite not seeing anything:

"The mantis stalk the cicadas not aware of the Orioles behind...Sigh, it's hard to keep low profile, I am too outstanding…"

"Oh uncle! Hong Xi seems to have air sickness, what do we do he is about to throw up!" Xiao Ling'er suddenly said hurriedly in a flurry while holding Hong Xi to the uncle's side.

But the super agent Jiang Xing didn't show any panic and took out a magical tool looking like a bucket with practiced manner, he held it before the fat cat but the only thing that came was sticky ball of fur that landed on his robe.

"..." Jiang Xing looked at the scenery outside of the windows again while holding some tears, he didn't see the mocking look o the cat's eyes as well as the little system spirit holding her laughter. This is all for the mission, for the cult…

Father Li and mother Li looked at this scene on the other side of the spirit vessel, they looked at each other in doubt and Li Cheng couldn't help but ask his wife:

"Did Wang Dafei really send this guy to monitor us? I think that he is just here to feed false informations."

Madam Li just shrugged her shoulder before saying:

"Does it really matter? He is here to take care of Hong Xi and he seems to do a good job in my eyes."

The Saber God nodded his head thoughtfully hearing her words, he does serve as a good entertainment for Xiao Ling'er and Hong Xi so it should be fine, such was the fate of an undercover agent living in secret and uncomprehended by anyone…

...

In a residence in the SouthPort city, a middle aged man with red hair dancing like fire, a bushy beard and a long black horn on his forehead was seated silently, he was thinking about the unsettling information about the Grand Festival in the City of Prodigies that he was going to attend, it was said that there may be some individuals who would cause trouble during the event. With the security of the City of Prodigies, he shouldn't be that concerned, but a name that came out from the informant couldn't help but make him apprehensive. The Dragon Emperor muttered in his rough voice:

"Devil God Wang Dafei, I don't have anything to do with you but if you do come to create trouble I hope you don't involve my Long Clan, if not…"

At the end of his muttering, the atmosphere in the room changed drastically as if a storm was about to come. It was at this moment that-

BANG!

A lady's figure stormed in the room destroying the solemn feeling, she was as beautiful as ever and as expected:

"Did you hear about the last news? Those madman of the miasma region are really bold! They actually dare to make a move at this moment. But will little Xian be fine? We should…"

"...."

At this moment the Dragon Emperor really hoped that those Evil cultivator would come and make a mess, he would then be able to vent a bit and reduce this stifling sensation in his chest…

...…..

Sword Saint Meng Qian was seated beside his only daughter, he remarked that she was a bit absentminded and from his observation he could understand immediately that she was thinking about her fiancee, he felt some sadness but kept any trace of that from his face, he then began to talk in a casual tone:

"How have you been recently? I hope you don't blame me for not telling you about going to the Thunder City, I still think that getting to know more about nephew Li Kun will be more meaningful if you are close to him."

Meng Lin turned her head to look at her father, but seeing his strands of gray hair as well as the worry and sadness he is trying to hide, she swallowed the word s that were about to burst out, she much wanted to say to him that she wasn't interested in engagement and marriage but doing that may bring unpredictable effect on her old man, in the end she just sighed inside and said with an ethereal smile:

"Meng Lin is aware of Father's kind intentions, I understand that this is all for my sake."

Meng Qian nodded his head with a gratified expression, he stroked his beard showing his improving mood and his daughter didn't miss that. She then continued:

"Father, I heard some unsavory rumor about the Grand Festival in the City of Prodigies. Is it really…"

She couldn't finish her words as she saw her father changing his aura completely, he showed the sharp and decisive look of the Sword Saint and said:

"Don't worry about it, rumor are only rumor what will come won't be decided by what people say but what a single person chose to do. From what I can see it will only be a diversion for something elsewhere, their true aim should be in the western regions; but this is just an intuition, you don't have to take it seriously ."

"Father's intuition is always on point, look like it will still be the same this time, I can be relieved then."

Meng Qian reverted to his kind father's expression, he then looked at the jade slip in his hand to look at the new manual to interact with youngster so he won't be caught up by the terrifying disaster for parents, the 'generational gap' such a wicked name.

Meng Lin on the other hand went back to look into the space absentmindedly, while inside she was thinking darkly:

'Li Kun, don't you dare cross my way! What do you mean by relation with sincerity and honesty?! How could it be so easy to back out now. I'll make you understand how hard it is to get off from a tiger, if not I won't be surnamed Meng anymore!!'

...….

Li Ya who walked out of her residence was feeling quite tired today despite the early hour. But, when she thought about the great undertaking she was doing with Sun jia and Feng Ling; and the fact that she may get back her freedom soon she couldn't help but show a spirited smile. She walked stealthily while paying attention to any ambush that may come from any side, she was using the formation disc called the Veil of Mystery hiding her from any cultivator below the Spiritual realm but habit was hard to die down and it was always better to be more cautious since the number of toads would rise soon enough when the Grand Festival begin.

She reached the usual old looking teahouse where they made their meeting and when she walked inside Sun Jia and Feng Ling were already seated drinking tea facing each other, Li Ya always sensed a weird feeling when she saw these two together as if there was something going on between them that she was unaware of but that should be her imagination right? The three of them always meet up together and she didn't think they had any dealing outside of those time since she was always with Sun Jia other than when taking classes.

She couldn't help but think to herself:

'Look like I have been infected by Li Yun's conspiracy theories obsession, there is no way those two have something going on that I am unaware of. Speaking of which what's happening with that little brother of mine, he was always strange in some way but he is acting even stranger recently. Look like I will have to go easy on him for now…' She stopped her random thought here and began to talk about the plan with Sun Jia and Feng Ling after giving a small greeting.

"So we are fixed then, the operation will take place during the beau.. Fairy ability contest during the Tournament period, this will be our only chance…."

Feng Ling said with seriousness and after seeing they the two senior sisters were fine with the arrangement, she then talked about the main contents.

The discussing three didn't remark the waiter nearby who was cleaning the table after the usual customer with blue skin and yellow hair slumped on his seat murmuring about deadline or something but no one would be able to save him..

The waiter then took the cutlery and walked back In the inner area to meet the boss…

...…..

At this time, in a courtyard in the special residence area, a young man was seated on his bed with his leg crossed, he was breathing in and out in a peculiar rhythm; the Spiritual Qi around was converging to the young man like a tornado but it didn't phase him the least bit, the mount of spiritual Qi in the room was declining at an alarming rate but thankfully there was a spiritual gathering array that kept replenishing it back, the amount of spirit stones consumed must be quite hefty damned be the richs!

The phenomenon lasted for about two hour and the storm of spiritual Qi began to die down, but soon starlight began to emit from the young man giving him the feeling of being the center of the galaxy.

The starlight became as bright as the sun for a moment before receding completely, a sound of something breaking came from inside him but no one else could hear it. The young man then opened his eyes which flashed like the star, he then looked up in the air with grace and said lightly:

"The third level of the Mortal transcendent realm, it's time for me to go outside."

Li Yun walked stood up in a regal manner and walked out of his room with his hand behind his back, he did look like a main character at this moment...
