CHAPTER SIXTY SIX

"Well, well," Kellan greeted them with malice, "hello, beastie."

The dragon's eyes narrowed. "You," he growled, recognizing the human who had caused him so many problems. 

Kellan's scarred face twisted into a malicious grin as he sauntered forward, his eyes flicking between the dragon and Yara. "What do we have here? A little family reunion?" His voice dripped with sarcasm, the tone mocking.

The dragon growled low in his throat, protective instincts flaring. " How bold of you to show yourself before me," he hissed. 

"Kellan!" Yara spat, her voice trembling with restrained rage. "Of course, you're a part of all this."

"Hello my darling," Kellan purred, taking in the sight of Yara in the gown. " You look as ravishing as ever." 

Rage curled through his body, heating him up. smoke curled out of his ears as his fists clenched. The stone of the pedestal cracked under the force.
