17 Years ago a virus spread all around the world, infecting 7% of humanity. Those 7% of people got special abilities, similar to super powers. The professors gave them the name "Cora". Every Cora is trapped in specific laboratories to invest on the virus and the abilities those people got.

They divided every Cora in numbers from a scale of 1 - 10, depending of how dangerous they are.
1 is the most dangerous and 10 the least.

Jinsei, the protagonist, is a 4 and has to suffer a lot from the experiments he has to go through. But as the professor offers him a deal that he accepts, his whole life changes.

This is a story about a big adventure, a tragic story and a strong bond of friendship between the two protagonists.

Into the night sky

"You are staring into the night sky again, as if you are searching for something. Tell me, boy. What is it that you're searching for?"

I looked at his blurry face and the hand that he laid on my shoulder. It's this strange dream again… He asked the same question as always and again I can't answer. I'm not even sure if I understood his question correctly.

"Maybe the thing I'm searching for is freedom?"

He gave me a gentle smile and looked into the night sky as well. How did I know he was smiling when I can't see his face?

"Why would you want to be free if you are free? You can do anything you want."

I don't know why I think that, but he looked lonely when he spoke to me.

He didn't look at me and kept staring into the night sky instead.

Now he looked at me, but I still couldn't see his face, no matter how hard I tried. He moved his fingers closer to my forehead and I'm sure I know what he is going to do. That's always how the dream ends.

"No stop! Before I go- I have too many questions… Who are you?! Tell me!"

He just smiled and snaps my forehead. I can feel how I start to lose my consciousness.

I yelled but I start to realize I'm not in the dream world anymore. I woke up.

"Shit this goddamn dream. I'm never able to find out who he is or what he is searching in my dreams. I'm getting more tired of this."

I start to walk through my room, but as I realize that it's hopeless I lay down on my bed again.

"Maybe I'm just starting to go insane. It was just a question of time for that to come anyway."

I might really go insane like this.

A plan! I definitely need a plan (on how not-to-go-insane). Or maybe I'll start to figure out how to escape from this hell. And I don't think I can just seduce one of the female professors who have a keycard, because I'm definitely not attractive enough. Shinda might be able to, but I don't think that would work because he can't just go out of his room without anyone realizing that he's missing.

Okay maybe seducing someone is a bad idea… Shinda's plan is to just kill the professor, but that's definitely harder than he thinks. Especially if Shin can't use his ability.

I can't fight anyway, so maybe we need a third person in the party. Maybe someone who can fight, has access to the laboratory AND a person that the professor trusts… Hm… I don't know anyone like that. Maybe I need to search for a person like that. If no one exists I'll search for something similar. I first thought that Dr. Murine could do the job, but she doesn't do anything without a price and she doesn't have a fighting ability.

My thoughts get interrupted by a knocking sound at my door. I open confused the door and see a girl, around my age, with black and purple hair standing infront of my door. As soon as I open the door she already walks inside. Why does everyone keeps doing that?

"Ssh be quiet or they might hear you."

What the hell is this girl blabbering about?

She looks at me as if I am stupid. She doesn't really look kind either. She looks really rude, but her face is extremely pretty and her lashes are long. She has a tattoo of a spider lily on her right shoulder and she doesn't wear the normal laboratory clothes- or… I mean she does, but they are transformed so that it looks like a white, tight dress.

"Listen to me and pull your asscheeks together, because now you need complete focus on my words, 'aight?"

Who even is this girl?! Why is she so goddamn cheeky to me?

"Excuse me? What even is you name?"

She looks at me and we make eye contact for a while, before she starts to speak again. Now I realize that she has a red iris, which looks really cool combined with her black, purple hair.

"Your lil' white friend might be in danger, buddy."
