Chapter 34: The Training Grounds

The frenzy running rampant within my head is nothing much, but prevalent still.

I try to control my breathing, when I feel a hand on my back, and Celine leaning in.

"Are you alright?" She asks me, which somehow, I find alleviates me ever so slightly.

I take a deep breath, and I feel myself becoming more coherent.

"Yes, I believe I am." I say, straightening out myself.

Celine says nothing more, after a 20 second stare, she turns her sights ahead, acting as though she didn't just show concern for me.

I'm happy she still cares, but I'm upset I can't apologize to her.

The rest of our drive is filled with silence.

Luckily for me, we reach our destination not long after.

A destination I again I'm not sure where it is exactly.

We stop in the middle of nowhere.

Surrounded by trees, plant life and wildlife of all manner.

I've suppressed my questions for long enough, and now, I can no longer take it.
