Chapter 52: My Head Running Rampant

Darius makes his way over to me, and I all the while avoid his gaze.

My heart continues to thump, and the blood in my veins starts to rush faster.

I feel strange, I feel a semblance of the sensations I get when I'm around Elias.

This...this is some sort of mistake.

"How is she?" He says to Rosemary, whom I hadn't realized had jolted off the bed, and is standing at the foot of it.

"She's getting better now, but she still needs some rest."

"Make sure she gets it, I don't want my Luna dying on me in front of all my alphas."

He speaks to Rosemary without even acting as though I'm present and it awake.

"Understood alpha." He says nothing more, then he heads off.

I watch his back, as he continues his stride, with his hands in his pockets.

He could've at least...no, I prefer it this way.

I meet Rosemary's face, and what I find is some form of a scolding stare.
