I turn back, again, not caring about my bare skin and I walk over to his side, taking a knee when I reach.
"Can you get up?" Is the first thing I think to say.
He says nothing, then shakes his head slightly, assumably correcting his senses.
"Then go."
"I didn't come back so I could leave you behind." I say, more boldly than I should.
What is going on with me?
I'm being too bold, and I can see that is what he is thinking about by the look in his eyes.
But he doesn't berate me for it.
"I can't get up, I need time."
"We don't have time." I say, scanning the flames exuding around us.
I made quick work of the wolves that had been attacking us.
Should they still be alive, then they'll be far far away as of now, and badly wounded.
I don't sense any wolf around us, so releif overtakes me.
I didn't kill anyone.
