Chapter 111: The Clawing Ground

Darius says nothing, does nothing.

The aura surrounding us overturns from intimate wants and lighthearted feels, to fearful and dread-filled silence.

"I didn't get word of his arrival." Darius says with a neutral tone.

"That's because he isn't coming." Kysilius says and I feel the pressing aura vanish in an instant.

And I see Darius' rigidness free up.

"You said..."

"He'll be coming during the second cour." Kysilius shoots me a ghastly glance. "Hopefully by then, distractions will be a thing of the past." Kysilius says before walking off.

'Why did grandfather contact you and not me?' Darius Neuropaths Kysilius, and I go stiff, suddenly unsure of how to behave so as to not draw attention to myself.

'Probably because I've told him everything.' Kysilius responds.
