Mated To The Wrong Alpha

Time is ticking and there's still a long way for me to go.

I get on my feet, a direct attraction of another projectile, but I saw it coming this time, so I duck under it.

I erect myself once the ball flies overhead, then I leap onto the next platform.

I don't wait for the projectile to get me before leaping onto the next, six mor...

My foot slips and once again, I'm falling.

I'm not given the answer or even a semblance of it.

What I am given is a dastardly pain that explodes in my spine when I fall back first into the platform.

"Ah!" I can't help but scream. The pain in my back is reminiscent of a bone breaking in twain.

Luckily for me, it doesn't end there, as I find myself slipping off the platform.

I at once protrude my claws and dig them into the top of the platform.

Confusion finds me for several seconds when I feel a viscous fluid underneath my palm.
