Chapter 154: It's Over

How did I let her catch me off guard?

I thought I was in the clear.

As I fall, my braids lose and they begin to whiplash onto my face as the wind thrust them upwards while I descend.

I can't lose...I can't lose!

The Luna's elongated hand still rests in front of me, but the further I descend, the more distance is out between me and it.

An idea hits my neurons, and not left with any options left, I act on it at once.

My ideas haven't let me down yet.

I pull my hair out of my face and grab onto her hand just as it was about to go out of reach.

I then use my Instinct to hold her in place.

It is only now that I realize the Instinct actually uses up my energy.

And as I hold her in place and she struggles against me, I feel the strength seeping away by the second.

But I can't let her free, if I do, I'm done.

I give it all I've got and I make sure to hold her in place.
