"A first time huh?" Darius' voice echoes into my ears.

"You have two months to make me fall for you. But if you fail, I'll kill your best friend Rosemary, her mate, and every member of your pack."

Mated To The Wrong Alpha

The pain becomes too much for me.

My body is unable to take it anymore and I don't fight…I stop holding myself together and…I fall.

Before I'm allowed to descend…Darius…catches me.

The darkness takes me, and I sink into its embrace.

"When will she wake up?" A muffled voice that can't hide no matter how disoriented it is bellows faintly in the distance.

I try to form thoughts, I try to make myself whole, but I find my being resistant to my command and I find said being is dispersed within this darkness.

No matter how hard I try, my mind refuses to listen, so I continue to drift in the darkness.

"What is wrong with her?" His voice returns after what felt like an eternity drifting in this pool of darkness.

And…again, I wish I wouldn't hear his voice.
