A plan hits me as I continue to wait on the stairs.

But I wait, which is what I will be doing until Kysilius leaves Darius and heads home, wherever that may be.

And wait is what I do, for several hours till I feel like clawing my hair off.

What the hell are they doing in there?

I make to rise when suddenly, I feel myself snap in half which causes me to tumble the rest of the steps so I crash onto the ground with a pain-filled scream.

Besides the physical pain coursing through me, I feel as though I've been torn in half and an otherworldly pain grips and consumes me so I lose all my strength.

I try to run my thoughts through why this is happening, but I can't.

As I think I'm about to lose consciousness, it all disappears.

Save for the pain of crashing through the stairs.

It is only now that I realize what that was.

Something within me is gone, a part of me is missing, and...that part is Darius.
