Chapter 226: A Deep Yearning

Seeing Darius react so emotionally for a movie had instilled a feeling in me I couldn't quite describe even if I wanted to.

First I was astounded when I saw him scream just when things were getting dangerously intense in the movie, then I saw him get angry when a worthless character had caused so many to die.

Then I saw him, cheer in the moments the characters were triumphing in the face of disaster, then…I saw his eyes water when…

But he didn't let himself cry, not this time.

I didn't mean…to make him feel this way, I wished I had picked another movie, but I had completely forgotten the ending, up until halfway through the movie, and by that time, it was already too late.

I wished I had picked another movie, because one fact was made clear today, it hurt seeing him like this.

It did then, it does now.
