"Don't you think we've gone far enough?" Beck says to me. But I don't respond immediately, I take the time to bask in the glory that is before me.
Over ten dozen wolves lay on the ground, each of them more dead than a frog in boiling water.
Another pack over and done with. One less pack to defy me.
Turning to the sky, I take in a deep breath. Then I turn around so I can see Beck and the dozen or so wolves behind him.
I can see his gaze intent on me even though I don't meet them. I keep my gaze on the wolves behind him.
"Gather the bodies into the cabins and burn them down." I say to them, and with a bow they all respond with:
"Yes Head Alpha Elias."
Those words crescents a smile on my face.
So delightful.
I finally turn my gaze to Beck, who hadn't taken his sights off me even once.
