Alexis,
I came outside the club and met Alessandro leaning by the door. I looked to the other side, planning to walk by without talking to him. He said, "Alexis, let me give you a ride home."
I looked at him as if he were crazy, asking, "And why should I let you give me a ride? Or do you think I trust you to that extent?"
He just smiled at me. "Since you are going home in such a hurry, hope there is no problem because I heard that you are not feeling well. So what harm will a car ride do for you?"
"A car ride won't do me any harm, but your car ride will do me harm. So, if you will excuse me, I would like to be on my way."
"Before I forget, I remember that I didn't give you my home address yesterday. Give me your number so I can send it to you."
"Oh, and you think the most suitable place to ask for my number is outside a club."
"I wonder what you are thinking about, Alexis. Are you giving me the number or not? Are you giving me conditions on my own number or what? Because I don't understand."
"Think about it anyhow you like; you will still give me that number since you are going to be working for me. Why would you work for me and I won't have your number? Now, don't make me repeat myself. Now inside the car. I don't even plan on doing anything to her, but her skepticism is too much."
"Why can she not just accept an innocent ride? I think she is more scared about the fact that I am part of the mafia than riding in my car. I could see the wheels of her head turning as she was definitely thinking about what to do until she took me by surprise. 'She agreed to enter the car!'"
"I would enter the car on the condition that you won't talk to me till I get down." I shrugged as if it is an unnecessary question.
Then she entered the car, and I followed suit. I sat down, closed the door, and we drove off. Then I asked the driver to ask for her address. She faced him and asked why he didn't ask her the question herself, and he refused to answer her. It looks like he is keeping his side of the bargain. He didn't say anything until she got to her street.
When she got down, I asked my driver to drive off without still saying anything. I could see how perplexed she is at my behavior. Well, that is just what I want to happen. Let her think maybe there is a little chance that I am not interested in her. I know she refused to participate at the club today because of me, so when Kyles called me, I told him to pardon her and let her go. I would pay for her off today.
Kyles and I are a little close; we are kind of like business partners and friends. I let him be, and he also does the same. No reason to be causing unnecessary trouble. Even though I know I could take him down, there is really no need to do so because you never know when a situation will arise where you will need your brother in arms that you trust with your life.
I also own a club. Most times, I come to this club to pick talent, talent waiting to be explored. Kyles makes me pay heavily for now that he knew I like Alexis. Only God knows how much he is going to charge me for me to take her away for life. (chuckles) Gosh, I am already thinking of eternity with a girl I barely knew at all. I think this is so unlike me. I have gone deeper with this girl than I actually give credit for.
I told the driver to drive me to one of our bases because I got a matter to deal with there.
# ...at the base
"Cole, how are those guys responding to the questioning since?"
"They have been proving stubborn and refusing to confess. Oh, that is very good. They just signed their death book, a deal with the devil itself because I have been very moody and pissy today. I have been looking for who to pass my aggression on, and now they have given themselves up on a silver platter. 'Take me there at once!'"
"Let's see how well they will hold up against me." I got there and saw the two guys. They stole from me, intercepted a deal with one of my clients, a very wealthy client. They reduced the quantity of cocaine they were supposed to give them and planned to sell it on the black market. Do they really think they could pull it off without me finding out? Now they are denying it and refusing to refund my money and the damage control they caused me.
If not because those clients were my good clients, they would not have bothered to tell me what we did wrong. They would just call to let us know that they are no longer doing business with us, and I would have had to lose more than a million worth of money just because my own guys decided to steal from me.
I got to the room they put them in, a room in this place where all soundproof to prevent anyone from hearing anything. I neared the two guys whose eyes were swollen, bleeding in the mouth, and several cuts and bruises on their body.
I asked Cole to give me pliers, and I got near them.
"I would ask you this question just two times, and you should better think carefully before you answer me as it may be your ticket to leaving this place alive." (As if I even intended on letting them leave.) "Anyone who stole from me is dead; that is one of the codes of honor. You don't steal from each other."
"One of the questions is for you to answer honestly on your own terms, and the second one is with each wrong answer you give me, I remove your nail one after the other."
They both made an attempt to get away from the rope restraining their hands but could not. I neared the first one and asked, "Who asked you to steal my drug? Where is the money or drug?" He was just looking at me, and I decided that he was not ready. So, I took the pliers toward his hand, and he started screaming that he truly didn't know.
I clamped down the pliers on his hand and plied out his fingernail from his fingers. The cries of pain he made were so helpless, but I didn't pity him because I gave him a choice to die a painless death.
I neared the second one also, and that one already started screaming that he does not know. I didn't waste any time as I clamped down the pliers on his finger and separated his nail from it. Blood was gushing out of it; it even spilled on me, but I didn't even bother or make an attempt to move. He sure had a lot of blood; how many pints will remain when I am through that I am not so sure of.
As I neared the first one again, he started shouting out a name. "It is Mason, Mason, Mason!!! He put us up to this, the money is with him, we don't have anything to do with it."
I looked at the second one, and from the look on his face the first guy was telling the truth. So, I stood up, whispered in Cole's ear to kill the second one and dispose of his body. Leave that one alive until I am able to catch that Mason, and he can verify if the story is true; then, I kill him then.
Cole brought out the gun and shot him immediately. I went out of the room and climbed the stairs and went up. I went to my spare room here and took a shower, getting rid of the stench of blood on me. I scrubbed my body until I was satisfied.
I came out, wore a casual top and trousers, and asked Cole to come after he was through to know the intel we have on this Mason guy and how to get him. Because sooner or later, he was going to hear about his friend's situation, and I don't want him to ghost out or have to be chasing him across the city.
I stood in my office, brought out a packet of cigarettes, took one out, and took a drag to clear my head.
