"Tag! Haha! Tag! Haha!" Jackson was having a lot of fun going around and spotting James and Arland's crew who they assigned to follow the crewmates of the Crystaline Pirates through the city. Captain Goob, Kanaka, Bobo, Fawn, Laylee, and Jackson had gathered back at the ship along with James and Arland Black, keeping an eye on them wasn't necessary anymore.
"So let me get this straight," Goob started as he stared down the brothers from the Bloodstone Pirate crew asking for aid on the Crystalline Pirate ship's deck, "You two were having an argument. It became violent. And you," he said pointing at James, "Have the power to capture and control monsters. And you," now pointing at Arland, "Thought chaining your brother with power blocking cuffs was a great idea?" Goob sighs, "And in result, the monsters escape from whatever hell hole you keep them in and since the cuffs block your power, they were no longer bonded by your power that contains them and escaped and are NOW running rampant in the Sharsen mountains?"
"Yes, and no," James answers apologetically. "Not all of them. And that's just where they escaped, initially."
"So they're all over the continent?" Kanaka interjected. With a nod of confirmation, he exclaims, "Neptunes sack! Did this possibility ever cross your mind? Are you out of your fucking minds?"
"You're two brothers. Still young but shouldn't be fighting like that. How do you think your Captain would feel knowing how you boys lashed out by fighting?" Bobo said strumming his guitar lightly on the edge of the ship.
"Oh, I don't think da-"
"Not him," Bobo cut James off. "I knew Captain Bloodstone a long time ago. Let me just tell you, Blackbeard may be okay with it, but Captain Bloodstone would give you a deep scalding punishment and that's not just verbally."
"You sound like you know her," Arland laughed. In response to the look Bobo was giving him he realized he wasn't joking and said, "Wait, you do know her? You look the same age as we do!" Arland barked. "We've never seen you before."
"I may look like I'm in my 30's but I stopped aging a long time ago," Bobo laughed.
"Can we get back on topic," Goob said. "But Kanaka is right. You never considered the possibility of what would happen if you cuffed him?"
"Well," Arland said, "That wasn't why we had them."
"And why did you have them?" Goob asked.
James and Arland exchanged looks showing they were hesitant to answer the question.
Jackson came aboard the ship with Ned and Harry and said, "You had a lot of your crew out, truly, but they're no match for me."
"You found them all?" Arland said, shocked. "You were gone for like 10 minutes!"
"Respectfully, sir," Ned said, "They need better training."
"I'll remember that," James said with an annoyed look on his face. He directed his attention back to Goob and said, "I'm sorry but I can't answer that right now. Anyway, so, being as the best monster hunters on Sharsen currently, I'd like to get your services on taking care of these monsters."
"Only hunters on the continent," Kanaka said proudly.
"There's some nobles on the west side," Bobo said.
Kanaka looked at Bobo and said, "Why must you rain on my parade Bobo?"
"I'm just playing to the tune of truth," Bobo smiled.
"You think if you followed that line in your own life you wouldn't strikeout with so many women?" Kanaka teased.
Bobo stood up and began holding his guitar like a bat and said, "Sounds like you want to fight, bucko!"
"Sit your ass down," Fawn demanded. She then adds, "So, killing them?" Fawn enters the coversation from the side. Stepping down from where she was perched railing on the top deck of the ship, "Being that they were once in your control, naturally you would want them back in your inventory? But if they're so dangerous you would come to actual monster hunters instead of handling it with the crew you have, they're rather dangerous, aren't' they? So, with that said, when you originally caught them, I can bet a man or two died?"
All the Crystalline Pirates were staring James down that made him start to sweat until he sighed and said, "On average, there would be at least two or three deaths."
"Two or three, you say?" Goob stroked his beard. The crew now looked at him and he answered, "I imagine we could probably take care of it with no casualties, but that's granted of pursuing for a kill, not for capture."
"Is capture really not an option?" James asked.
"Absolutely not," Goob answered. "You really think you can ask us for help thinking we're expendable? Because our deaths wouldn't matter? You think we're that stupid?"
James didn't answer but the expression on his face showed he was apologetic.
"Well, maybe if Evelyn joins in we-"
"NO!" James and Arland burst out cutting off Fawn's suggestion.
The whole crew cracked a smile and Kanaka said, "Didn't I tell you Captain? I said their reason for being here had something to do with her."
"What business do you have with our cook?" Laylee said. "Did yours die or something?"
"What? No!" Arland laughed. "I mean he could use some improvement. Keeps giving me more vegetables than the rest of the crew but, no."
"So what's your business with Evelyn?" Goob addressed the question again with stern authority. "And don't tell me that's why you even have cuffs?"
Bobo begins to laugh and say, "Oh, that's rich. Tell me, does Captain Bloodstone know you were given cuffs to capture Evelyn?"
"I imagine," James answered. "Why wouldn't she know?"
Bobo is trying to contain his laughter and said, "Trust me, you wouldn't have cuffs at all if Captain Bloodstone knew you were given them."
"What's his deal?" James asked.
"Power blocking cuffs don't work on Evelyn," Goob cracked a smile.
"Well of course they should. She has powers, doesn't she? We saw that yesterday with our own eyes!" James said.
"Not like you and I have," Goob said. "So why do you want her so bad?"
"That's classified," James answered.
"We're told to just get her and bring her back to the crew," Harry answered for him while crossing his arms.
Everyone's eyes were on Harry and Ned said, "Do you ever just shut the hell up?"
"Well, Boss James is the only one saying it's classified. Captain never said such a thing," Harry laughed.
"I'm literally going to gut you," Ned said.
"I can put a hex on you if you're serious on that comment," Jackson threatened.
"I see," Goob said looking at the technicians. "Can you tell us the details as to why?"
Harry nodded no.
"It seems," Jackson cut in. He sighs and starts again, "It seems my father is with them. As the official Technician of the Bloodstone Pirates."
"Ah shit," Goob said kicking the air, "Losing my two newest crewmates soon after getting them."
"I can come back," Jackson said.
"I forbid it," Goob said. Looking around at the crew, Goob said, "We'll talk about it later." He then looked at both James and Arland and said, "Leave our ship. I'll have Jackson head over once we've finished talking as a crew on if we will help you or not."
James and Arland exchanged looks and then looked up at Goob and James said, "We'll be looking forward to hearing from you." And exited the ship with Ned and Harry.
Jackson watched them leave and then turned to Goob and asked, "So what did you mean that we'll have to talk?"
Goob looked at the crew and said, "Talk among yourselves. Fawn, with us." He said leading Jackson and Fawn to his captain's quarters.
Sitting at his desk, Goob motioned to Jackson to sit at the chair adjacent from the one Fawn sat in across from his desk. Jackson sat and asked, "So what is it? You saying I can see my father but no come back to the crew? I mean I vowed to join you, not my father. Not the man I hadn't seen in over a decade."
"It's not that, Jackson," Fawn said.
"It has to do with Evelyn," Goob sighed. "We all know how powerful she is," Jackson nodded. Goob started again with light chuckle, "She's a siren for crying out loud. The fact of the matter is, despite being so young, she is much more powerful than almost all of us."
"Almost?" Jackson said.
"Bobo is the exception," Goob said. "As long as he has been with us, he has never truly showed us his true power but he's a power user of a power that has never been seen before. We just don't ask because his loyalties lie with the crew."
"Not to get off topic," Fawn side eyes her cousin, "We've had a discussion with Evelyn that she will eventually have to leave the crew."
Wide eyed, Jackson says, "What? Are you kidding me? Leave the crew? Don't you think that's the worst option?"
"She won't be by herself," Goob mentioned. "Darla has sworn loyalty to her, and I'm requesting, not only as her boyfriend but as a friend, you don't leave her side either."
"As a three-man crew?" Jackson asks.
"Well, now," Goob said. "After she gets two more crew members, she'll be an official Pirate crew."
"She's been quite the social butterfly since we left the island. Not talking to everyone and everything but she's getting around," Fawn said.
Goob leered at his cousin and said, "Except for that damn stunt you had Darla pull earlier today in the bath. That was the worst type of torture you could have done to six full grown straight men. And don't tell me it was Darla's idea. This plan has your name written all over it."
"Oh come on," Fawn laughed, also noticing Jackson was blushing to. He sighs, "I mean if it's anything, it's five full grown straight men and Bobo. We all know he seems to dabble in the occasional white wine, not just red."
"Okay aside from that, Jackson," Goob addresses him again, "You do understand where we're coming from though, right?"
Jackson looks down and after a moment picks up his head again and says, "Yeah. I can respect that."
Standing up, Goob says, "Good." He then walks over to Jackson and puts his hand on his shoulder and says, "But we will hunt you down and kill you if you pull a ring out on Evelyn and don't invite us to your wedding."
Jackson beckons a look to Fawn who's smiling in agreeance and then back to Goob and with a smile says, "Noted. For sure."
Meanwhile, somewhere in the city.

"WHAT THE FUCK!" Evelyn exclaims.
"I'M BACK!" Goob, Fawn, and Jackson hear Wasabi's voice from the deck.
They walked out of Goob's Captain Quarters and Goob says, "And empty handed."
"I'm not empty handed," Taco said also arriving on deck of the ship with a large bag in tow of medical supplies.
"Well, I'm empty handed with Evelyn," Wasabi said. "Do you know what type of shit is out there? Monsters! None looking native to this continent may I add! Some looked like damn Ultra Beasts! No arena's in sight! I'll tell you one thing though, no sign that Evelyn and Darla were even there!"
"So you think they actually listened to me and just had a leisurely day in the city?" Goob asked.
"Probably," Wasabi answered. "But I don't think we should leave in a few days like you planned, Captain. I mean, there are a lot of damn good wild hunts out there. We are monster hunter pirates after all. We don't often go after land beasts but it's a bloody goldmine out there!"
"Sounds like a coincidence if you ask me," Kanaka laughs. "I was against it, but Wasabi's actual report now has me convinced and excited."
"What's going on?" Taco asked.
Goob points to the Bloodstone ship down from them and says, "They fucked up and that's why there are monsters out there. You sound gung-ho so I guess it's decided."
"Fuck," Taco sighs. He lays down his bag of medical supplies and says, "I'll go get more supplies." And exits the ship.
Goob, smiling, looks over at Jackson and says, "Tell them we're in. We'll talk and make preparations tomorrow."
