----------------------------------------------------

Three days later

Faust received an encrypted message from Sebastian on where he can meet his trainer.

As he decipher the coded message, it pointed out towards Japan, in an abandoned town called Inunaki Village.

He packed light. A simple pair of jeans and t-shirt, fake passport and his bank cards.

He immediately left the safehouse and went straight to the airport doning his cap, a disposable mask and his smartglass.

He managed to pass the security with the help of Alice in creating a fake information for him and then deleting it completely.

With about 14 hours of flight, he successfully landed in Narita International Airport.

From the airport, he hailed a taxi going to the city. With help of Alice, the language barrier was no more. Alice translated whenever the driver spoke and displays a set of pronunciation syllables like a subtitle in his peripheral vision so he was able to converse to him fluently. He asked the driver to drop him off where he can buy a vehicle. The driver understood and he began to drive towards the nearest city.

After more than one hour, they reached the city and the driver dropped him off in the city center in front of the automobile district. After the driver left, he searched for a place to eat. Eventually, he found a ramen shop on the road side since he was already famished. He ordered two sets of meal and finished them all in no time.

As he walk the streets, he eventually found a motorcycle shop and bought a black Honda Rebel CMX250. After sizing up his newly bought motorcycle, he felt satisfied with its look. He couldn't help but remember the first time he met with Carol where they drive in a motorcycle. He quickly brought the motorcycle to a gas station to fill it up before driving towards his destination. He didn't have a problem with the navigation since he have Alice to cover for that. He was just following the map displayed in his smartglass which makes him look like he actually lived in Japan.

It took him 3 hours to reach the edge of the village and by the time he got there, the sun already disappeared. Along the way, he passed by a creepy tunnel that has a lot of graffiti but there's only one phrase that caught his attention and that was 'the laws constitution of Japan does not apply here.'

It was creepy if you asked him but Faust brave it out since this is the only way to get to the village.

As he parked the motorcycle and dismounted from it, he look around the total darkness with caution and vigilance. There's no light and the surroundings look like a ghost town.

He turned on the night vision mode in his smartglass and started to walk towards the abandoned village.

Along the way, he saw the dilapidated houses full of tall shrubs and grass. He found a broken brick wall and sat on it to wait. Of course, he's not going to do anything stupid like shouting 'Hello, anybody here?'. That will only make you blinking target for ambush. He decided that he will just wait until someone shows up.

--

Lurking in the darkness of the abandoned Inunaki Village were men dressed in white yet they blended in the darkness perfectly. Leading them was a blind old man wearing a green jumpsuit and green cap. He looked like a garbage collector and his presence was ordinary. So ordinary that you couldn't help but ignore him which was his perfect cover. Beside him was young woman around 18 years old wearing the same white clothes like the rest but without mask.

From a distance, they are watching a man who fearlessly arrived at this village without any idea of its history. They already detected his presence from the time Faust went through the tunnel.

"Is that him?" The young woman whispered.

The old man nodded and said, "MmmM, glad he was not stupid as I expected. Nonetheless, don't hurt him and make him unconscious. Just a couple of sleep powder is enough."

"Here I thought I could have some fun. Okay, I don't think I need to move though." Then the young woman raised her hands and signalled to the group.

The men in white blended in the darkness and charge towards Faust. In just a few seconds, they appeared behind Faust and their raised their hand to knock him out but Faust did something unexpected which caught them off guard.

When they were about to hit his head, Faust suddenly ducked and rolled forward to evade. Then he turned around to face the aggressors.

When Faust saw them wearing white, he couldn't help but looked at them in disbelief.

"Wait wait, hang on a second. Why in the hell are you guys wearing white in this dark and empty village of all places. Kinda breaks the concept of sneaking. Seriously?! I'm quite disappointed cause it's just plain stup---Oops!"

Faust leaned from the side as he felt one of them threw something at him.

"Not the conversation type, huh? Well, let's do this. It just so happens that I needed to vent because you guys look liked a group of sneaky bastards I hate the most."

After saying that, he charged forward instead of waiting for their attack. Thankfully, they wear white clothes so he can at least discern their body outline and trace the trajectory of their movements. Not to mention the smartglass he was wearing was still in night vision mode.

He threw a feint punch on the guy who almost knocked him out and when he saw him fell for it, he strike him with his knee towards his crotch. He then swung his elbow to his enemy's face. They guy tumbled on the ground but he doesn't have much time to celebrate yet since the other men in white swung his leg on his face. He ducked his head and sidestepped closer to his other assailant so he can keep them in his zone.

On the other hand, the old man 'watched' their fight in the distance with the young woman still in his side.

"Heh, interesting."

Then the old man said to the young woman, "Go on and help them, don't drag the fight any longer. This simple extraction for fucks sake. I think I'm gonna increase the intensity of their training once we get back."

The young woman nodded and walked towards their fight. She fished out a ball of cloth bag which was full of sleeping powder. She then threw it towards Faust along with her knife. The ball of cloth fell on top of Faust head while the knife struck it causing the powder to shower and sprinkle over Faust. Her movements was so clean and fast that Faust wasn't able to react in time.

Faust was stunned and said, "Now that is what you call sneaky."

After saying that, his eyes rolled and he fell unconscious to the ground.

Seeing this, the young woman ordered and said, "Cover his head and bring him to the headquarters."

The white men although panting, nodded and started to carry Faust to his shoulder while the other guy put a cloth in Faust's head.

"Let's go." The young woman said.

Faust didn't know how long he fell asleep but after regaining his consciousness, he felt sun rays in his skin and he was lying down in a single bed. He pushed himself up to sitting position and examined his surroundings. He found that he was actually inside a wooden cabin and there in the night stand, he saw his belongings.

He stood up from the bed and took his things. As he was about to turn around and head out, he suddenly someone speaking which startled him causing him to flinch.

"So.. You are awake."

"Holy shit!!? Damn, you guys are really good at sneaking, huh."

He turned around and saw a blind man wearing a white karate uniform minus the clothed belt.

"Heh, you'd be surprised. Get your ass up and walk with me, kid." The old man said leaving the cabin.

Faust kinda have an idea who he is but he wanted to confirm so he followed him outside and walked with hin.

As Faust walked beside the blind old man, he resisted the urge to hold his arms to guide him in his way but he dropped the notion when he saw him walking normally without stumbling to the ground.

The old man started the conversation.

"So, what is your relationship with Sebastian."

"Very secretive, hmm..I like that. You're doing pretty good on not spilling the beans but its pretty much easy to guess your relationship with Sebastian is quite close for him to claim the precious debt I owed him for you."

"Hey old man, I don't swing that way. I'm not his boy toy." Faust complained defensively.

"That's not what I meant boy."

"Ohh...ohh you mean.. Yeah yeah I get it. Damn! You should've made it clear in the first place.".

"Nevermind, I'm taking back what I said that you're not stupid." The old man murmurred.

"What's that?"

"Nothing. Are you prepared for the upcoming training? Don't waste this opportunity. This is just a one time thing."

"Yeah, I mean that's what I'm here for. As long as I can achieve my goal, even if I have to go through hell, I will do it."

The old man stopped and turned to Faust before nodding.

"Very well, let me introduce myself since I'm gonna be your teacher in the next couple of months, or years till you learn what you needed to learn. You can call me Stick, one of the leaders of this organization called Chaste."

"What's your name, kid?"

"No one! I'm already a ghost you see, -or don't. Well, my former name was already in the past and he is now dead. I don't have a name right now."

"Hmm.. I understand. Noah it is."

"Wait what? I said I'm No one, not Noah. Although they rhyme but they aren't the same. I thought you were just blind."

"Heh, sure, Noah."

"And...now you're doing it on purpose. Fine! Suit yourself. I bet you were called stick because your dick is thin as a twig. Aww--" Faust murmurred.

Whapak!

Stick smacked his butt with his walking stick and said, "I heard that moron."

"Shit! That stung! I thought you were deaf? Stop calling me names all of a sudden."

"Do you have a name?"

"No!"

"Then what do you think I should call you during training? Moron quite suit you more than Noah."

"Uhh.. Well you have a point. I think I'll settle with Noah."

"Why am I even having this stupid conversation with you? Sigh." Stick shook his head in exasperation.

"Let's go to the training ground. Time waits for no man.. What are you doing?"

Stick saw him writing something in a small notebook from who knows where he get that.

"What? Oh I thought you were gonna say something more of that philosophical phrases from the movies. But all I get was 'Time waits for no man'. Tch Seriously?!"

Turned around and ignore him as he walk towards the training ground.

"I hope you still have the energy to do that once we started the training."

Suddenly, Faust suddenly felt a chill run through his spine. He became uneasy that something bad is going to happen.

When they arrived at the training ground, Stick told him to change into a proper training uniform.

When he emerged from the changing room, his uniform was a mess.

Stick on the other hand didn't bother to correct him before shouting..

"Your training officially starts now!"
