A Tiger In Desperate Situation

Haruna's face was pressed against the glass window. Even the glass was smeared with tears, but she didn't want to keep her eyes close, for fear that her father would be gone if she blinked. Akiho was holding her to prevent her from getting excited and rushing in again.

Haruka held the window and watched her father lying there quietly for a while. Then she suddenly gave an order in a dumb voice: "You both go back. I will be here tonight."

"No, I want to stay here with dad!" Haruna rarely refused to listen to Haruka's words, but Haruka didn't hesitate to turn around and slap her without any warning. She said angrily: "Now we are the two oldest ones in the family, you must go back and watch them! If you are so ignorant, I will beat you!"

She was like a little tiger when she got angry. Even Kazuya couldn't help but take half a step back. But after the beating, she stood there in a daze. The expression on her face quickly dimmed and she seemed to have lost her strength. She slowly leaned against the glass window.

Haruna was stunned. Haruka often hit her on the head, but she had never hit her in the face since she was a child. But she didn't want to leave at all. She knelt on the ground and cried loudly, "I'm sorry, sister. I want to stay here with dad!"

Akiho took a step forward, held Haruka's arm and whispered softly: "Sister, Ayaka, Chika and Toutaro must be very scared at home. They can only feel at ease when they see you. Besides, the hospital expenses need to be raised early. So I think you should go back instead. The second sister and I will stay here. If anything happens, I will call you right away."

She was the calmest person in the Sakura family today. After she finished speaking, she noticed that Haruka's face was pale and was worried about her going back alone. She bowed deeply to Kazuya, "Can you send my eldest sister back?"

"I see." Kazuya knew her thoughts, "I will take good care of her, don't worry."

He thought Akiho's arrangement was good. At present, it's hard to say when Naotaka will wake up. Maybe it will be a long-term bedside care situation. From a rational point of view, it is better for everyone to take turns.

Haruka lowered her head and was silent for a while. She walked to Haruna and squatted down, putting her head on her head and touching the palm marks on her fac, and then said softly: "Haruna, act like a sister!"

Haruna nodded fiercely, "I will listen to Akiho's words and take good care of dad."

Haruka didn't mean that, but she just touched her hair and didn't say anything more. She stood up and told Akiho: "I will come here to replace you tomorrow morning. If anything happens tonight, call me immediately no matter what time it is!"

Akiho replied seriously: "I know, eldest sister!" Then she looked at Kazuya, who nodded gently to her and followed Haruka to walk out of the hospital.

On the tram back, Haruka clutched her cell phone tightly. No one knew what she was thinking. Kazuya silently accompanied her and finally brought her back to the Pure Flavor House safely.

Ayaka and Chika were only ten years old. Even if they were usually a bit cunning and willful, they would still be afraid and worried when things like this happen. They were protecting their younger brothers, one on the left and the other on the right, and one of them was holding a spear to strengthen the courage. Seeing that Haruka entering the door, they finally felt that their eldest sister was reliable. They quickly dragged Toutaro and rushed forward, asking anxiously: "How is dad?"

Haruka glanced at them and reprimanded: "What are you afraid of? It doesn't matter. He just needs to stay in the hospital for a period!"

"Really?"

"Really, when have I ever lied to you?"

Ayaka and Chika looked at each other suspiciously. Haruka had often lied to them in the past. She deducted the promised pocket money and canceled the vacation as soon as they violated her orders. Her credibility was extremely low in their hearts. But now it was a big deal, it shouldn't be like before, right?

They looked at her again. Although her expression was serious, it didn't look like the sky was falling. Kazuya also calmly went to pour tea and drank it. It seemed that it was really not a big deal, as if they was just worried about nothing.

They breathed a sigh of relief and threw Toutaro to the ground, but still asked with concern: "Dad is sick now, what should we do?"

Though Naotaka might have to lie down for more than ten hours to endure his pain among twenty-four hours a day, he was still the anchor of the whole family. Being hospitalized this time, the family would definitely suffer a lot. They must be concerned about the impact. If their father is fine, they will start to care about whether their lives will be affected and whether their allowance will shrink.

Haruka sat down at the table and said angrily: "Dad is in the hospital but I will not let you starve to death. You two now take Toutaro to sleep!" She didn't want to say more to her sisters, as long as they didn't worry and cause trouble.

They were too young and couldn't be expected to do much.

Chika and Ayaka looked at her bad expression as usual and confirmed once again that nothing had changed at home. They wanted to go back to their old ways and talk to Haruka about the conditions. However, they saw her seeming to be looking for a stick and gave up. Dad was sick and the eldest sister must be in a ten times worse mood than usual. It's better not to offend her now. So they turns around and grabbed Toutaro to run away. Luckily, the eldest sister has forgotten to check their homework today.

As soon as the three ran away, Haruka seemed to have her spine broken for a moment. She softened for a moment but soon straightened her back again and went to the cash register. She took out a white envelope and handed it to Kazuya, saying softly: "You have also seen the situation. The store will be closed temporarily. This is your unpaid salary..."

She was planning to sack Kazuya, but he didn't accept the envelope and just asked: "What are you going to do next?" She was only sixteen years old and still a girl. Can she sustain it?

Haruka was very short and it was difficult to see her expression clearly when he was face to face with her. But she raised her face which made him have a clear look. The expression on her little face was very firm: "This is our Sakura family's business, so we will handle it ourselves. Thank you for your concern, but it's too late and you should go."

As she said that, she stuffed the envelope towards Kazuya. Kazuya felt that he shouldn't take the money. Although he was living with Yoko now and was quite short of money, taking this money now would adding insult to injury for her family.

He extended his hand to refuse, "You should keep the money..."

He was rudely interrupted by Haruka before he could finish his words. She looked firmly into Kazuya's eyes and said word by word: "The Sakura family has not collapsed yet. There is no need for sympathy and pity! Get your salary!"

Kazuya was almost pushed out of the shop by her.

He watched the door slam shut in front of him and was stunned with the envelope in his hand, then shook his head and walked towards the station. He just wanted to return Naotaka'favor as much effort as he could, but he didn't expect this little radish to have such an attitude.

She was really a bastard. Why is she still so arrogant after something happening? He cursed her a few times in his heart and then began to think about how he would deal with this situation if he were Haruka.

It was not that he was born a bitch and wanted to show excessive passion to a cold person, but he had his princples. He was used to being self-reliant and didn't like to owe others favors. Now that Naotaka was like this, if he chooses to sit back and watch, he always feels awkward.
