Stuck in the Alleyway

"I can't interpret your actions any other way. Do you really like me?" Darcy pressed, her gaze unwavering as Dominic continued his task, the sting of the antiseptic failing to elicit even a flinch from her. 

Before Dominic could gather his thoughts to respond, Darcy cut him off with a firm warning. "Don't!" she cautioned, her tone resolute. "I'm the last person you should develop feelings for," she said before he could say anything to her. 

Despite her warning, Dominic couldn't suppress a smirk, his own emotions swirling in a tempest of love. "Who are you to dictate that to me?" he challenged, his voice tinged with defiance as he carefully wrapped the bandage around Darcy's calf, deliberately avoiding her gaze. 

"I am your leader," Darcy replied firmly, her annoyance palpable in her expression. Dominic's open display of rebellion was a rarity, and it irritated her.
