Interrupted by the Best Friend

"I will never hurt you Cayden. Never in a million years, no reason would make me hurt you ever," Darcy spoke very carefully, thinking the fight he had witnessed upstairs might have stimulated that reaction out of him, but she was wrong as Cayden forcefully shook his head, denying the notion completely.

"I know that. I have come to realize that you will never hurt me. I can see it through your eyes," Cayden spoke with true conviction, and Darcy's heart swelled. She knew what Cayden looked through her eyes, but she had yet to realize what she looked like in the eyes of the love of her life and she was content with the answer she got to her never-been-spoken question. She felt immense bliss at the fact that Cayden knew she could never hurt him, ever.
