A Dance

All eyes were on us as Alexander led me to the center of the room, a space reserved for dancing.

"I wasn't lying," he whispered in my ear as he pulled me close to his chest and nodded to the orchestra. "You do look beautiful tonight."

"Thank you," I replied as the music started and Alexander led our dance.

He made sure to hold me close, guiding me throughout the dance as we made our way around the dance floor for everyone to see.

I could see as people lifted their phones to take photos and videos of us.

"I can ask them to stop," Alexander whispered as he noticed how uncomfortable I had gotten.

"No, it's fine," I said. "They aren't breaking any laws."

"They are invading your privacy," he grumbled.

"It's fine, it's good for us if they take photos," I said as leaned my head on his shoulder.

Alexander grunted a reply as we continued to dance.

After a few moments, he spoke again.
