Change in Direction

It's been three days since our Grandfathers suggested that their scorned lover was behind the attacks on our company and it left me disturbed.

I sat impatiently for my meeting to end.

Jade got back two days ago and she said she's completed her investigation and would talk to me after this meeting.

I was eager to have good news for my wife. I knew this problem bothered both of us, but she's been involved with it for much longer than I have.

"We're changing strategies," I suddenly announce as one of my cousins stands stunned mid-presentation.

"We're what?" Riley asked, looking at me as if I'd lost my mind.

"Alexander, are you sure?" Samuel asked, his tone dripping with caution.

I drummed my finger on the table as I studied the faces of the people in the room. If I said I trusted all of them, that would be a lie.
