CHAPTER 3

CHAPTER 3

Henry came to the room to find that his master was trying to make some paper. He did not know how his master found the alternate method to make paper. Although the method of making paper was not a secret but he had not seen such smooth paper. Henry looked at his lord and bowed and spoke, "My lord. The hunters have accepted the offer and has come here."

Roger looked at his trustee and asked, "Tell me Henry. Is there someone I can really trust to train the hunters. A single knight can kill all these hunters and maybe three of them could take down a knight in the forest. They just have some better physical strength than the ordinary people. It will take at least ten years to make them equivalent to a knight and they will still be not able to fight against two knights and neither fight against the talented ones."

Henry said, "It would be better to train them as the leaders of the spearmen my lord. The knights are very few in these lands and are leaders. We can train them to become strong enough and to have battlefield awareness such that they will be able to lead the peasants who are called in the army so that we can have better control of the army."

Roger said, "You are the only knight I have. Have you found some other knight to come to serve under me."

Henry said, "It is hard to find, my lord. There are many solitary knights but most of them have bad characters. It is hard to believe in them. It would be better to have the knights after the war as many would become knights and your power is more than enough to become a god in the battlefield."

Roger said seriously, "Never say the term god again. They are strong beings that should be respected."

Henry said with a smile, "I never thought that you were the religious kind."

Roger said, "I know that God exists and worship him. Let's come to the main topic. Can you train them?"

Henry said, "If that is what you want, yes."

Roger said, "Make sure that they are trained properly."

Henry asked, "It would be better if you see them my lord."

Roger said, "Sure let's go."

Roger walked at the front and decided to move fast. Henry kept walking behind him and roger saw the hunters standing there. Having seen the robot army, he only one word to say to them, pathetic. Roger wanted an army, not a group of people. He could use his power to make them faster, but the problem remains the same in all medieval worlds, the witch hunt. Although he was strong enough to stay alive alone and live the best life, what use was that? He wanted to become the strong. After he show off his power and makes a strong name for himself, no one can question him and could only praise him as the god's chosen.

Roger looked at them and stood in a proper 'at ease' stance. He looked at them and found shouted, "All stand in attention."

All of them came together and stood there. They were gathered there together and looked at them. They were nothing more than a crowd. Animals were much more organized than them. Ants worked in colonies and the wolves had their formation. The birds had their method of flying and fishes had their method of travel. Roger was dissatisfied. If he had the talent to control the animals, with his speed up power, he would not have to care about the army, With just a few chickens he could fight against an army. Just as type 1 speed increases the force, it also reduced the force applied on his body by ten thousand times. It would mean that even if he stood there, he could not be harmed when slashed with a sword. He calmed himself telling him that he was a tiger, not a wolf and he was an eagle not an ordinary bird.

Roger looked at them and spoke, "You are all weak!" They started arguin and Roger got angry and threw the spear at the walls and the wall was shattered. They stood there in fear and Roger said, "You are all weak. Two knights are more than enough to kill you all. I need proper soldiers under me and if you follow Sir Henry here, I may make you my permanent soldiers and if war may come after some years, make you the captains of the army under me. You only have one job for the next three month, keep practising and keep fighting till you fall down of tiredness. Is that clear?"

They said, "Yes sir."

Roger looked at them and said, "if you do not meet my criteria, I will send you all back to where you came from. I am the lord here and my words are the rules."

Roger walked away and henry followed him. Roger went to his room and wrote the commands and the actions to be followed on the command. He looked at Henry and said, "Make sure that this method is followed."

Henry read and asked, "This method may provide discipline and unity, but it is useless in war."

Roger said, "I need an army under me. I am giving them enough meat daily at the level of knights. If they cannot do this training and your training, then they can leave. There are a lot of young men in nearby villages."

Henry asked, "You might be said by their behaviour."

Roger said in anger, "Bandits are better than them."

Henry laughed and said, "True. I can only try to make them into soldiers."

Roger said, "You can fire anyone you want. Just send them to me before letting them leave."

Henry asked, "Why?"

Roger said, "I may train a set of archers."

Henry nodded. Roger waved his hands to let Henry leave and henry left after bowing down. Roger sat down reading the information he had. He had to make sure about the nobles. He had to get more information and understand the nobles and understand the political arena. It was easy to become a baron, but it was hard to rise to the top. He had to form alliances and rise to the top. He had to make his name spread and he had already arranged many bards. He had to immortalize himself and show off in the war so that he can rise to the top.

Roger looked at the soldiers that were training and henry guiding them. He acted as if he did not care much but he looked at them through the side. It was interesting to note them strong. Roger looked at them and found that some of them were good enough. Roger decided to gift them as he was happy and let the cook prepare more meat for them. They could eat it and take it home if they could not finish it.

Roger decided to go to Wallux Town as he had heard about a strong man who can fight against a bear. Although the story was interesting to hear, he did not understand how much part of it was true. Roger decided to try to recruit to be under him. The strong man could be suppressed and there would be no one stronger than him in this world. He decided to go there happily to let them fight. Roer let the servant get the horse. Roger looked at the horse and smothered it. Roger sat on the horse and decided to go. He tugged the horse and horse ran fast. After he was far away from the castle, he let the horse run too fast.

Roger looked at the Wallux town and went to get inside. He was stopped by the town guards and Roger stopped there. Roger looked at the guards and showed off his badge. The knight bowed down to him and all the commoners kneeled to the ground. Roger went to government centre and went to the associated stable. He decided to not take the risk and went outside the town and went far away. Roger let the horse be stored in the space storage and he went back inside. Roger decided to go to the tavern. He went inside and saw many men waiting for the drink. Roger had always been at the countryside and never was inside a town. He had never come to such congested area and found that the smell of sweat and inferior wine was disgusting.

The men there laughed at the funny scene and the bar maid laughed out too. Roger looked at them and said, "You are really courageous enough to laugh at a baron."

A man said, "My son is an official."

Roger went to him and took the iron staff and bent it using his hand. He smiled at the man and all of them were silent. Roger smiled and said, "I am not an ordinary baron."

The old man said, "Yeah."

Roger laughed and sat down. The situation had become normal and others continued with their discussions.
