Hunting and Devouring (1)

Wild boars have yellow names, which means they are not aggressive creatures. Even if you attack his companions next to them, they will simply ignore it and just watch.

Alex took a glance at one specific boar and used "Insight". Insight was one of the basic skill for every class. It's limited to checking out enemies' HP and MP numbers.

Name: Wild Boar

Level: 1

HP: 80/80

MP:10/10

It was the same as he knew. After looking at the enemy's attributes and comparing it to his own, he charged at the boar.

"Rush Faint"

Alex held the dagger and sprinted at the boar.

"Clatter"

-2 (stunned)

A really low damage number appeared on the wild boar head, but its essence was the stunned effect.

Alex knew the time for the stun was only 2 second so without wasting time, he bypassed the boar and hit the enemy from behind.

"Ambush"

"Slice"

-8

"Sting"

-4

By making 2 continuous attack the effect of the stun expired. The boar immediately got angry and charged at Alex.

"Clatter"

-5

Alex was too late to dodge and got hit. The damage taken got him in a serious mode. He had no time to keep thinking as the boar started charging at him again.

"Swish"

Alex rolled to the side and dodged the attack. The boar noticed he missed and after locking his target; he started preparing to charge again.

"Slit"

-4

Alex didn't wait for the boar and swiped his dagger at him. After taking another hit, the boar was on the move again. This was repeated 3 more times. Alex's Sting was finally available.

"Sting"

-4

"Swipe"

-4

By using his basic attack and sting immediately, he made a combination attack dealing twice the amount of injury.

The Boar already lost nearly half of its HP. Alex kept kiting it and another 5 seconds later his ambush and sting come up at the same time.

"Ambush"

-8

"Sting"

-4

He could hit the enemy from behind with Ambush thanks to it moving around with a simple mechanic.

Alex used insight again on the boar

Wild Boar

HP: 10/80

MP: 10/10

Looking at his remaining 10 HP, Alex rushed straight at the boar and made a basic attack, reducing it to 6, but because of his harsh attack method he took another 5 hit from the boar.

Although he had been hit, he completely ignored it. Because above the boar head appeared a mouth. Just be looking at it gave you the feeling of being consumed. It was like the mouth of the Devil with long canine teeth or some kind of eerie monster, but definitely not the mouth of a human.

Just like an instinct, Alex knew what to do as he said,

"Devour,"

The wild boar, which was originally angry suddenly become frightened as it looked around for any possible danger. Alex looked at the terrified animal who couldn't even detect the big mouth which had been hanging above his head and kept looking around, but it didn't last long as the skill took effect.

The mouth opened up and swallowed the whole boar in it. Visible to the naked eye, a long tongue leaked out of the devil looking mouth and licked his lips in satisfaction.

Alex shuddered at the sight of it, but he had no time to be frightened as he noticed notifications popping up

"Killing [Wild Boar], acquired 2 XP, 1 Energy"

"Consuming [Wild Boar], acquired +0,1 stamina"

Alex, who heard the prompt become ecstatic. Experience, needless to say what it is for, energy is used when you upgrade your weapon.

First you need to understand that in Utopia Online equipment is divided into: white, green, blue, purple, and golden quality.

Clothing such as armor, boots, cuff, armguard, etc. have fixed level when you reach the threshold you can equip them and even enchant them by using various gems.

But weapons and complementary equipment are another category. Each weapon is usable in given reach. For example, the one you start with is possible to be used between level 1 and level 10. As a beginner, if you level up to level 2 you can upgrade your starter weapon using energy. It takes sometime and energy but your weapon will deal more damage this way.

After rummaging through his thoughts, he looked at the second prompt. This was the one that made him the happiest. You need to know, the only way to increase your attributes is to level up. Each level up gives you 5 status points. But now with this skill he can gain 5 attributes just by killing some boars.

Calming down his restlessness, he sat down on the ground and rest. By sitting down and meditating, you can regain your health and mana faster. While waiting for his MP to recover, he analyzed his fight with the boar and his gains from the fight.

First, if you can combo your skill in a skilful manner, you can deal damage faster and save some time. By fighting alone, you also need to look after your MP cause it runs out quickly.

"It was said you can clear the first 2 quest alone and even level up, but after you have to slay your first boss, which is literally impossible alone."

"I wonder if I can stack up enough stat to slay the boss alone." *chuckle

As he kept daydreaming, his mana points recovered. It took 5 minutes to recharge his MP, which made Alex slightly troubled. But soon he cheered up, he doesn't need to rush, he just started the game and no one will notice him in this beginner's village.

After clearing his mind, he got up and looked at a pouch on the floor. He almost forgot about the quest. Hurriedly picking up the loot he heard the familiar prompt.

"You get 7 copper coins!"

"You get 1 wild boar tusk"

"seems like it will take some time"

Alex thought as he didn't get the quest item.

But as he looked at the other Wild Boars, a big grin surfaced on his handsome face. Luckily, no one was around or they would have thought he was a weirdo.

Alex selected a boar to be his target and after checking his information through insight and confirming that it was the same, he engaged.

But this time he started with a different approach, he used his only active skill

"Stealth"

After becoming invisible, he come behind the boar and used his other skills

"Ambush"

-16(Critical hit)

"Sting

-4

The boar just was about to charge but Alex used his control skill

"Rush Faint"

-2(stunned)

After the boar HP got in the executable range, he devoured it directly.Gaining 2 xp, 1 energy and +0,1 strength. Noticing the different attribute he was relieved at least he can get other types of status points from the same monster.

Strength was not his main attributes, but surely he will get bonus dexterity points through devouring. As an assassin proffesion his damage dealt is heavily affected by dexterity.

Checking the dropped loot and not finding the quest item, he was not at all annoyed but decided to kill enough boars to reach level 2 and keep devouring them for extra attributes. Just for the attributes definetely not because his bad luck.

Looking at the pigs not far away from him, he selected one and after checking his status he started to hunt and devour boar by boar one by one.
