The first boss

The first boss fight

Alex sat up from his from his capsule and did some light exercise to relieve the stiff feeling from his muscles. After that, he took a shower and went to the cafeteria.

He spent half an hour eating and another half on stretching. Since an hour passed, he thought it was time to log in and continue leveling.

Lying down, and started the game, his avatar appeared on the spot he logged off before. The crowd has dispersed and the wolf area was again packed with players killing wolfs.

Alex moved to a location where there were no other players and joined in eliminating the monsters. Using insight on the wolf, he got its information

It was nothing new, the same yellow name with the same difficulty, maybe a little more HP than before. But it was not a challenge for him.

Completing the follow up 3 quests, his XP bar reached 70% and he got another piece of armor.

Equipping the item, he arrived at the guide's last and hardest mission.

Snowfeather, " Congratulations, you are almost a fully fledged adventurer. You only need to accomplish 1 more achievement. For every adventurer who wants to differ from the others, he has to kill boss monsters. The boss monsters are way more difficult to slay, but as it is harder, the reward for killing it is leagues above the normal."

Alex accepted and made his way towards the wolf king's valley.

He soon arrived and saw the wolf king sleeping in front of a crumbled building. Beside him were 2 wolfs named the king's guards.

If you want to attack the king, you first need to eliminate his guards. Otherwise, if you attack the king first, the guards will join to besiege you.

Checking the guards' information, it was the same as the dire wolfs from before. Taking them down, he finally arrived in front of the boss.

Using insight on it, he got shocked to see his information

Alex didn't have to try fighting it to know it's impossible to kill it for now. Anyway, it was still afternoon and most players playing the game right now. By fighting it alone now, others will notice it.

Taking one last look at it, he stepped back and started killing monsters in the area to level up and gain more attributes.

Since looting the PKs, he was not sort of money and bought more than enough potions. Thanks to it, Alex could keep killing the wolves madly for 6 hours. As time passed, the killing become easier and his stats soon increased by another 35 points because of leveling up and devouring his enemies.

It was now nighttime, but there were still many people around, so he decided to take a nap to refresh his spirit. Setting an alarm a few hours later, he slept.

Ring-Ring

Turning off the alarm, Alex sat up and checked the time.

Alex said, as he laid down on the capsule and started playing.

Appearing in the wolf area, he could only see a few players killing and roaming around. He approached the wolf king and was delighted to see no one around.

Preparing himself, he upgraded his weapon to level 5, increasing its basic damage to 20. Finished with this, he took action.

Taking down the guards again, Alex waited for his cooldowns and started fighting the wolf king

Moving behind the king, he swung his dagger

The wolf king roared loudly because of his injury.

"Feared"

Alex started running away from it because of the king's skill effect, and the wolf took action again by enlarging his claws and swipe it on him.

Alex couldn't dodge it because of the fear and took a solid hit. The worst part was that the attack also applied bleeding effect. But he didn't step back and used

Alex wasn't prepared for it to be immune to the stun and took another hit.

"Of course, it couldn't be that easy. " Alex took a deep breath and his gaze sharpened

A normal tank player would be almost dead. But Alex's health bar was still over 70% thanks to his strengthened attributes.

While his skill were on cooldown, he could only attack by swiping his dagger at the animal. Thankfully, the wolf's skill were also down, so he could hit it and dodge its basic attack with his increased dexterity.

Numbers kept appearing above its head, while Alex dodged its every attack.

He chirped away the wolf's health and soon 1 minute started since they started fighting. The wolf suddenly raised his head to the sky and roared loudly.

"Not again!!!!"

"Feared!"

Seeing his attacker was under fear, the king landed 2 hits in a row before Alex recovered from the feared status effect. Checking his HP, it was still around 150. He felt safe and used insight on the king.

Seeing his remaining HP and MP, he knows why the wolf didn't use his other skill after he was under the fear effect.

"Luckily, his MP had run low, while mine is still enough." Alex thought.

Seeing his Ambush CD expiring, he grinned, "Just in time!"

Getting behind the enemy, he used ambush for the third time

Since it had no MP to use any skill, Alex kept on dodging and hitting him until his HP reached 10%.

"Devour"

Alex watched as the mouth swallowed up the wolf king.

"Killing the Dire wolf king, you get 40XP!"

"You get 40 copper coins!

"You get the Wolf king's boots"

"Devouring the wolf king, you gained str+ 0,7!"

Seeing the prompts, Alex smiled because he thought he is the first human to solo the boss monster in Utopia Online.

Looking around and seeing no one around, he sighed

He felt lucky that nobody saw him fighting and at the same time sad because his achievement was not witnessed.

Suddenly, he noticed that the sign of devouring appeared above the collapsed building. Right above the gate, which leads to its basement.

He became interested and started walking towards the gate.
