A New Start

After awhile we left the cave and Spazz lead us to the car I wanted to get out of this place for good and never look back. I looked at Spazz and A'kreath, before saying, "So, what is next Spazz, A'kreath? I recommend getting somewhere safe and sound, I don't mind moving but I have a shop that I can not just leave behind." A'kreath took a deep breath in to calm himself down from earlier and said, "Crystal, it is not safe for you to stay in this town, now i recommend if you want to run the shop still you can open one up in New York. Plus, Spazz needs to take your step-sister to the silver forge, which is honestly shocking there is one who wants to redeem themselves but i am not against it, the less spirals there are the better." A'kreath looked to Tina a quizzical look in his cold eyes seeming to try and figure something out about her but promptly turned to the house.

Spazz puts his hand on my shoulder smiling a goofy smile before he said, "Las, you will enjoy New York it is called The city that never sleeps. There is plenty to do there and i am sure your shop would be a great hit in the city, though you are going to need someone to run it at night if you really want to capitalize on the fact the city is always busy. Come on Las, you can sit front seat while the other two sit in the back of the car." I looked to A'kreath then back to Spazz and asked, "What about A'kreath? Doesn't he need a ride or does he have a car of his own?" Spazz seeming snickered at my comment before walking to the care. " you got that one mate?" he said as he got into the car. 

A'kreath looked to me having no visible emotions as he began to speak, "I have other business in this town to attend to first before I can join you guys later." I stared at him in disarray and said, "I will need my baking ingredients from the shop I will also need to go into the house as well to get some important things such as the documentation of the business." I said as my thoughts started to go a mile a minute about all the things that would need to be taken to New York for me to even think about running a shop there. A'kreath just shook his head before looking at me his hand gently placed upon my should, his hand oddly warm even though he had such cold emotions, it was a nice contrast to a point but i could not help but think of why was he so cold emotionally. I snapped out of my thoughts as A'kreath spoke, "I will make sure everything gets to New York, Crystal. You don't need to grab anything it will be waiting for you in New York. Spazz keep a careful watch over them and drive safely please i know your erratic diving." As those words left his mouth i wondered how everything was going to be brought to New York and waiting for me before we get there. and again he seemed to care even though he did not show it emotionally or physically, he turned me towards the car and lightly pushed me.

As i started to head towards the car my thoughts wondered again, i thought on what A'kreath had to do now since the hive was taken care of, maybe it was to help my father and the others. I stopped in my tracks and turned to A'kreath again meeting his gaze. " what is left for you to do A'kreath?" A'kreath just looked at me as if wondering if he should say anything at all, before he said in a cold almost Disgusted tone. "Destroy the hive and burn this place down. " i was horrified at what he had just said to me, he could not be serious, he wasn't was he? were my only thoughts before my mouth leapt forward without my brain.

"You can't be serious, A'kreath you can not be Serious you are going to kill innocent people down there, you are going to kill my father, he is still down there you emotionless prick! I will not allow it, you can not burn this place down with all of them down there, i will literally stake you down you Fangless bastard!" I was so angry with A'kreath i was seeing red to think he could just burn a house down and collapse the cave with people still alive down inside it. A'kreath Looked to me his gaze seeming to harden all i did was blink and he was right in front of me within an instant, i could not tell if he was angry or not, all i knew was i was frightened as he grabbed my chin with the side of his index finger and his thumb, i gulped loudly as i looked into his cold eyes as he opened his mouth i saw fangs both top and bottom ones. "I warn you now little girl choose your next words carefully after i am done speaking. The thing you saw down there is no longer your father, it is cattle for the Spirals a mindless fuck toy for the creatures you saw within the cave, if you think there was even a glimmer of hope for that thing to be your father again then squash it quickly, because what is down their is never going to be your father again, it is best to put those things out of their misery and kill them fast and without much pain. " 

I did not like the sound of what i was hearing especially the fact A'kreath was willing to kill and burn his friend alive I swallowed hard again working up the courage to argue back to him, "Did you even care about my father in that case since you are so willing to kill him!? How can you be so heartless! you are willing to kill a friend that wouldn't think about doing same to you! " A'kreath stared at me with a coldness that seemed to seep into my soul his gaze unwavering i could hear Spazz saying quietly from the car 'las.' but i just stared into A'kreaths eyes telling my self mentally i am an idiot for standing up to someone who could kill me without a second thought without a problem, " Listen here little girl, you do not seem to understand the world you have been thrust into vary well, so let me educate that little bit of gray matter in your skull, your father knew what could possibly happen every day he was out and about he could die or he could run into something that could warp his mind so much that he would never be himself again such as the breeding tool he has become for the Black Spiral Dancers there is no coming back from that. Has it sunken in yet? not only that your father was one of the few people that knew some people can not be saved he knew that it was a mercy to kill them so you are wrong, your father would have absolutely killed me if the roles were reversed, now again watch your mouth little girl or i will seal it shut permanently." he said for the first time since i have met this man he showed emotion and it was anger raw as i felt his finger and thumb twitch before he took his hand away. " leave now..." was the last thing he said before walking away slowly. 

I was frozen there for a moment watching A'kreath walk towards the house, once he vanished i turned around to look at Spazz who was looking at me concerned and with a nervous giggle i said. "I did a stupid didn't i." Spazz just nodded to me before chuckling faintly before saying sarcastically, "Nah you just stood up to a creature who calls himself the monster while he denies everyone else is one, no you did not do a stupid!" now i felt like i really messed up, but i could not let it go unsaid to A'kreath. Spazz then said. "Come on Crystal, we need to get a move on, day light is burning and we need to get somewhere else besides here." 

I wanted to refuse the help since I could drive myself and follow them but something was still nagging at me something felt wrong. So begrudgingly, I walked over to the car seeing Tina and Niki in the back seat, Tina comforting Niki and trying to make sure she was okay, it was odd for me to see one of my Step family caring so much for someone besides themselves, i got into the passenger seat and buckled up sighing before Spazz started the car and began driving off. " Alrighty Lassies it is time to hit the road i hope you try to have fun and forget this place, you will never have to come back here again." 

After we were on the road i looked at my phone checking my bank balance seeing quite a bit more money in it than i though there would be, i looked to Spazz. " do you think we could stop by a store be it a convenance store or a grocery store to get snacks? New York from Texas is a day and an hour trip, so we would probably want something to munch on." Spazz looked to me for a moment before nodding. " Sure Crystal, that sounds like a good idea, besides i need to fill up the car before we get to much farther, this is going to be a long trip." he said before pulling in at a gas station. 

After about ten minutes we left the pilot store with five bags full of snacks and had gotten cleaned up from the events of today and dressed in some new clothes. we walked back to the car that had been topped up with fuel and got everything and everyone settled into the car, Spazz popped a few capsules of something called no-Doze into his mouth then opened a bottle of mountain dew and took a few swigs before eating a French fry and looked to me looking concerned. "Crystal, I am sorry for your loss, your father was a good friend and co-worker. He thought about what needed to be done for the rest of humanity, and for the supernatural's as well, he never lost sight of who he was doing everything for either, he did it all for you to make sure you were safe, he just let his guard down, don't let this sour your view of the supernatural, there are two sides to everything some times three or four, just... keep an open mind las, your father spoke so highly of you don't let him be wrong. And i am sorry you had to see that side of A'kreath... he does care but sometimes he is not kind, and the problem is some people need that cold hard reality check from him to understand what is going on, if he did not destroy that hive, it would have become a problem yet again and it would have been doing exactly what happened to you, to another person." 

I understood what he was saying about them coming back and causing problems again for someone else or multiple people just like the ones i saw down their with my father, Killeen did not need that, it was already bad enough, as i thought on this it came to mind that all the crimes in Killeen could have been the Spirals or other supernatural's as well making a ruckus, with this thought I looked to Spazz. " Is it possible that the reason Killeen had so much crime was because of the Spirals or other supernatural's?" Spazz just nodded softly and glanced at me. " now you are starting to see las, not everything is as it seems, some of the crimes are mortals doing but majority is more then just a mortals dumbass trying to feel powerful."
