With the advent of the Beast Tide, Dalvin had made some changes to the player system as well. Path of Heaven halted its previous event, Make or Break, Refine the Tao!, and initiated an emergency event called Emergency: The Beast Tide Erupts!

The outbreak of the Beast Tide was already being heavily discussed on the forums on Earth by players, who were shocked and excited by the development. To the natives, this was a centennial calamity that could see many at the bottom ranks of society perish and entire family towns disappear from the map. But for players, it was a harvest!

Beasts practiced the Slaughter and Devouring Dao, which meant that they did not have techniques in the way that humans did. It wasn't until they became True Spirits at the Nascent Soul stage, they advanced by killing and eating their prey, refining its life energy into themselves as they slowly grew stronger.
