Final Preparation

After taking care of her make up and hair, Elena and Avians waited for Adrian to come and take Avians to the boutique to try on the wedding dress.

"Over here~!" called Elena when she saw her little brother coming towards them. "Approach him!" she whispered to Avians.

Hesitantly, Avians walked over to Adrian. "You finally came," she said.

Adrian's steps stopped as soon as he saw the woman standing in front of him. Her face that was usually covered by her long hair was now clearly visible, wearing light makeup and pink lips.

Adrian was silent for a moment as he was quite mesmerized by Avians' current beauty. Avians was confused as to why Adrian was just quietly staring at her.

Suddenly Adrian's finger touched Avians' cheek and rubbed it gently.

"You're beautiful, Avi," he said with a smile.

Avians' eyes lit up when she heard that sentence come out of her future husband's mouth. Her face instantly turned red from blushing.

"R-really? Thank you," she said, returning Adrian's smile.

"It's true, isn't it? I told you she would be very beautiful. This is just her first look, I'm sure by the time of the wedding, she'll be even more beautiful," Elena said holding both Avians' shoulders from behind.

"Now that she's yours, choose a pretty dress for her. I'm sorry I can't come watch you try on the dresses as I have something to attend to," the woman continued.

"That's fine, thank you for accompanying me and even picking out the makeup for me," said Avians.

Elena smiled and hugged her sister-in-law before leaving them alone. Adrian invited Avians to go to the boutique on the 6th floor of the mall.

The two went to the 6th floor using the elevator and headed to the boutique where Avians would try on her wedding dress.

When they arrived, they were immediately greeted by a woman who Avians felt familiar with.

'I feel like I've seen her face before, but where?' she thought at the time.

"Welcome, Mr. Adrian and Miss Avians? I have heard about you from Mr. Adrian. I am Lopez Casmera, the designer who designed the dresses at this bridal boutique."

"Lopez Casmera? The famous designer?!" asked Avians somewhat surprised. She often heard that name from social media.

"That's right, she will help you to try on the dresses here," replied Adrian.

Lopez smiled and invited them to enter. She explained that she had a lot of beautiful and luxurious wedding dresses in the place that Avians could try on later.

"From long-sleeved dresses, short, open shoulder, ball gown? A line dress? And everything else, we have it," Lopez explained.

"How about it, Avi? Which one do you want to try?" Adrian asked.

"Mnn... I don't know yet, can I try them on first?"

Adrian nodded and asked Lopez to bring some of her recommended dresses. Avians tried on the dresses one by one and showed them to Adrian.

He saw that the dresses Avians tried on did look beautiful and suited her. But he waited until Avians herself chose what kind of dress she wanted to wear.

"So how about it, Miss? This is our best dress. The open shoulders and the V-shaped bust, the small, banded waist and the wide dress, do you like it?" Lopez asked.

As Avians looked at herself in the mirror, she felt that the dress was too revealing for her. She wasn't used to wearing a dress that showed part of her chest like that, let alone a dress that had too many embellishments on it.

However, Avians did not dare to comment. She was worried about hurting the feelings of Lopez and the other female employees who had helped her put on the dress.

"Umn... I... I like it, I really like it. The dress is pretty, I..."

"Can you change the dress?" cut in Adrian suddenly. "I think the dress is too small for Avi. How about that dress over there?" he asked a different dress.

"Oh... Sure, we'll try that one." Lopez went back to helping the Avians change their dresses.

This time, the dress was almost the same model as the previous one, but the chest was covered with a thin cloth so that it didn't really show her chest. The decoration was simple, just a white rose at the waist and the dress was not as wide as before. It made it easier for Avians to move around.

"How about that one, Avi? Do you like it?"

Avians smiled and nodded. She liked that one dress. Adrian nodded in agreement and said they would choose that dress.

"Okay, we will prepare the dresses as best we can for your wedding day. Thank you for coming," Lopez told them.

The two left the boutique and planned to go to a restaurant for dinner. Avians agreed and they went to a restaurant of Adrian's choosing.

On the way, Avians looked out the window as usual. Looking at the road they were traveling on.

"Avi,"

"Yes?" replied Avians turning to Adrian.

"If you don't like something, just say no. Don't force yourself to like something you don't want," Adrian said looking into his future wife's eyes.

Adrian noticed Avians' expression when she wore the dress before, it looked like Avians didn't like it but she forced herself to say that she liked it.

So Adrian cut Avians off and asked her to change the dress.

"Sorry... I just didn't want to disappoint Miss Lopez with my answer. She must have worked hard to make those dresses,"

"I know, but all those dresses weren't made especially for you but for whoever wants to buy them. You can reject them if you don't like them. You have to be able to say no, to things you don't want. Understand?" asked Adrian.

The woman nodded. Adrian gently rubbed Avians head. He knew Avians' intentions were good, but it was to her own detriment. If Adrian hadn't realized that, Avians would have worn that dress to her wedding with a bad feeling.

*****

After dinner, they returned home and went to their respective rooms to rest. Adrian said goodnight to Avians before he entered his room. He even kissed her forehead which made her heart beat very fast.

"Night Avi,"

"Night Ian..." Avians replied and entered her room.

She climbed onto the bed with a smiling face. Her heart was still beating fast because of the little peck from her future husband who loved her so much.

This was the first time Avians really felt the affection someone gave her.

Avians lay back hugging her pillow, remembering Adrian's smile at her. She was slowly starting to fall in love with her future husband.

"Ian."
