Unbearable Hangover

Avians reflexively grabbed the drink available on her desk and drank it because she was nervous. Adrian who realized it immediately caught his wife's hand to stop her from drinking the drink.

Unfortunately, she had already drank it all in one gulp.

"W-what is it, Ian?" asked Avians in surprise.

"It's tequila," said Adrian, pulling the glass from Avians' hand.

He knew that Avians had never drunk alcohol before, so she didn't know what kind of alcoholic drink it was. She thought it was just tea because of its clear color.

"Avians drank it? Are you okay?" asked Elena worriedly.

"Huh? Y-yeah, I'm still feeling fine."

"It usually takes 5 to 10 minutes to take effect, can't you drink alcohol?" asked Noah.

Avians shook her head, she had never had alcohol in her life. Noah nodded in understanding,

"Usually the first time you drink it you get drunk immediately."

Hearing this, Avians became worried that she would get drunk in the middle of an event like this. Elena asked a waiter to get some water for Avians. She drank it as soon as it arrived.

"Feeling better?" asked Adrian as he gently squeezed his wife's hand.

"Yes, a little. I'll be fine, it's not a full glass of tequila, just a little," she replied.

As the event continued, they enjoyed the entertainment that was being performed on stage at the party.

Slowly Avians felt the side effects of the alcohol she was drinking. Her head ached and her face turned red. She began to hallucinate lightly, but the woman tried to keep herself sober so as not to be affected by the effects of the hangover she was feeling.

Her heartbeat was also racing.

'Oh no, I can't collapse here. The show is still very long, I have to stay sober,' she thought.

Adrian didn't notice at first, but as Avians' grip loosened from him, he turned to his wife and it looked like she was holding herself together to stay sober.

"Avi? Are you okay?" asked Adrian quite anxiously.

"Oh? Yes, I'm very good. Very good!" she replied with a stupid smile.

Adrian knew that Avians was already starting to feel the side effects. Slowly Avians rested her head on her hands on the table. She lost consciousness as the hangover overcame her.

"Avians? Oh she's really drunk," Elena said trying to wake her sister-in-law.

"Maybe she just fell asleep for a while, she'll wake up soon," said Noah.

However, Adrian who saw Avians in a drunken state felt that he could not let his wife fall asleep like that.

Without thinking, he immediately invited her to get up out of the row of tables in the room.

"Where are you going?" asked Elena.

"Home, my wife is tired. I have to take her home," Adrian replied.

As soon as they made it to the other side of the room where there were no people because they were sitting on their chairs in the center of the room, Adrian carried Avians bridal style out of the room where the banquet was held.

"Get my car ready, I'm going home now," he told his bodyguard who was guarding the door outside the room.

"Yes, sir!"

They immediately told Adrian's personal driver to prepare the car in front of the building exit.

As soon as they came out, many reporters were outside looking at them. They asked questions and wanted to take photos because they saw the unconscious Avians in the arms of her billionaire husband.

What was wrong with the billionaire's wife that they had to leave the banquet early?

That's what they were probably going to make of the news.

Adrian's bodyguards tried to block the reporters from approaching Adrian. Eventually, the man managed to get his wife into the car and leave the banquet.

Arriving home, Jonnah wondered why Adrian had returned so early when they had only left three hours ago. But when he found out about Avians' condition, he prepared some hangover cures and water for her to drink later.

Adrian laid her down on their bed. Avians was smiling to herself from the effects of her hangover.

"Sleep well," Adrian said, rubbing Avians' head.

"Ian," she called.

"Yes? Do you need anything? Maybe you need to throw up?"

Avians opened her eyes, she sat up and approached her husband's face. Her blue eyes met his gray ones.

"My body feels so hot,"

"Oh, that's because of the effects of the alcohol. Go back to sleep, you'll feel better tomorrow morning," Adrian replied rubbing Avians cheek gently.

Avians' hand touched Adrian's hand on her cheek and gently rubbed her cheek against his palm. Like a cat seeking its master's attention.

Suddenly Avians kissed Adrian's lips which made the man a little surprised because Avians had never done it to him before. But he returned the kiss before she finally broke the kiss.

"Ian, will you make love to me?"

"Avi?"

"That night you touched me, I really liked it. I felt so loved by you, Ian. But you stopped doing it, I felt so sad..." Avians said.

Hearing that, Adrian remembered the night before when he got drunk and seeing Avians in lingerie made him unable to resist touching his wife's sexy body.

Now she is drunk, Avians asked him to make love to her. Avians' cute face plus her pretty make-up was attracting Adrian's desire. But he couldn't do it.

"Sorry, we can't make love," he said rejecting Avians' request.

"Why, do you not like me?"

"I do, but you're drunk right now. It would feel different if we did it in this state. Plus, you're bound to forget when you sober up tomorrow," Adrian replied as he gently caressed Avians cheek.

"We'll do it next time when you're sober and it's time for us to do it, okay?" he continued asking in a soft tone.

Avians immediately nodded her head.

"Good girl. Now go back to sleep, we'll talk tomorrow." Adrian laid the dark-haired woman back down and kissed her forehead.

"Good night, Avi,"

"Good night, Ian."

The next morning when Avians woke up, she felt like her throat was dry and her head hurt from the effects of the alcohol she drank. She couldn't even remember what happened last night, why was she already in her room with Adrian when she woke up?

"Uhh..." She sat up, seeing that her bed was just her.

"Ian?"

Not long after, Adrian came out of the bathroom. He saw Avians who had woken up, and he gave her a glass of water and a headache reliever.

"Feeling better already?"

"Yes, what happened last night? What... We're there until the banquet is over?" asked Avians hesitantly.

Adrian shook his head and explained what happened last night until he brought Avians home. However, when Avians asked him to make love, Adrian did not say so.

Hearing Adrian's explanation, Avians felt very guilty. Because of her, Adrian had to leave the party earlier than everyone else.

"I'm sorry, because of my carelessness we..."

"No need to apologize, I just couldn't watch my wife get drunk and fall asleep like that. I showed my face enough at the banquet anyway, so I decided to go home. It's not your fault, understand?" Adrian asked the woman in front of him now.

Avians nodded slowly. Even so, she still felt a little guilty for what had happened.
