An Unexpected Opponent

It looked like Mashelle was at the center of this dead forest. But the more important thing was that he seemed to have something to do with that strange occurrence. Arias could only keep the question he had to himself at the moment, but he would probably find an answer to it soon.

Though the irregular natural phenomenon seemed to have decreased in intensity, Arias could see more and more destruction than it had caused the closer he got to the heart of this lifeless forest. The fallen trees had all shattered to pieces while the ground had split open and seemed to be on the verge of crumbling.

It did not take long for Arias to reach the point where Mashelle was. He looked at the other with burning rage, murderous intent exuding from his entire being like a god of death ready to take away human souls. But before Arias could begin to make any move, he noticed that Mashelle was holding something in his hand.

“What’s that crystal!?”
