Hunters Turned Prey

The assassins who were still alive were filled with fear. They never thought that they would get fooled by their own target. Now they were surrounded on one side by a knight mage, on the other by a peculiar beast that had already killed two of them, and lastly, on the third side by a young man who was just an adept mage and seemed to be the weakest among them.

“What do we do, Boss!?”

“Get the kid. If we have him, Farhan and the beast wouldn’t dare do anything to us.”

Starting to regain his composure, the leader quickly ordered his subordinates. Arias was the weakest among the opponents. In other words, he was the opponents’ weak point. If they could take the young man hostage, they could stop both the beast and Farhan at the same time. Farhan would certainly not risk attacking them if his grandson was at their mercy. And as for that beast, it had a contract with Arias, so it probably would not dare attack its master as well.
