The Second Option

In the room, everyone was waiting attentively to hear Arias’ answer, especially Irene, who was awaiting his answer with hope. Her heart was beating erratically. The seconds that had passed felt like hours. She wanted to shake him and make him reply as soon as she had asked. But alas, all she could do was wait patiently for his answer.

“Another option is to fix the missing part of the grimoire and make it complete.”

Arias said evenly, yet Irene’s face turned tense at his words, the hope she once had vanished in an instant. Her body felt heavy as soon as she heard this. Fixing a grimoire? That was harder than searching for a phoenix plume. The only one who could fix a grimoire was its creator, whom she had not the slightest idea they were. And even if she did, it did not mean that her situation was any better. Whoever they were, that person was probably long gone. This meant that fixing the missing part of the grimoire was truly impossible.
