Morning Disturbance

The white snow was painted red with blood, and the whole area was filled with its sickening smell. Lying on the ground of crimson snow were two people who were once powerful mages. But now, they were nothing more than lifeless bodies, with their eyes widened due to the fear and shock they felt at the last moment of their lives.

The two dead bodies were neither with soul nor consciousness. Out of the three of them, only one was still alive and breathing, with his body tied up tightly with the power of Wood magic. Fagus’ eyes widened in fear. He opened his mouth to scream, yet nothing came out. All he managed to do was splutter as a terrible fear gripped his heart. There was no way he was going to survive that silver blade.
