Uninvited Guests

In the forest that was the border between Porius City and Benier City, there was a body of a giant beast lying still on the ground. The reek of its blood filled the air in the area. There were marks of magic attacks all over its body, a clear indication that the beast didn’t die a natural death.

“Hurry up and get rid of it so we can leave. I don’t want to waste a lot of time with these beasts.”

Louis complained in irritation. Since they had to avoid the main path, they frequently ran into wild beasts as a result. And while these beasts weren’t that strong, they did waste a considerable amount of their time.

There were sixty mages standing close to Louis. Four of them were taking care of the beast’s body, while the others were resting, saving their energy for the rest of the journey. Having to travel hastily to a place so far away like this had tired them out quite a lot. Any acolyte or adept mage would have passed out from exhaustion before they made it halfway to the destination.
